Why did chruch's ignore the Pope about Iraq -then... BUT push shrubby now?

I was shocked that more churches didn't speak about pre war Iraq whn it came to the Pope's comments and telling chimpy "not to go".

But here they are "pumping" the shrub...what gives..?

I told several Catholics that Kerry is Catholic. They did not know that, they did know he was a "baby-killer".

I can't see any other reason for the Church to have gone with the fundies. The Pope has written against fundamentalist Christianity. Abortion and stem cell research are the only two areas they agree on. The only thing I can see is money. Maybe it's time for Catholic women to remind the Church WE have money too.

6. Republicans tend to be big contributers

to things like building funds. Democrats tend to contribute to things like helping the poor.

8. There was a full page ad in USA Today yesterday, but I didn't

find who placed it. It was on the 'tenets' of the Catholic church...including abortion, stem-cell research, gay marriage. Did anyone save it? It did not mention either candidate's name, but included something about the 5 unquestionable items. I'm not a believer so really didn't spend much time on it.

9. Yes- I saw something similar in my Catholic weekly paper.

They forgot to discuss the immorality of pre-emptive war in the article. I guess that ain't important when you wage war as a religious crusade.

Individual bishops in various diocese(s) can make an effort to round up their local Catholics � but it is not coming directly from the Pope.

If it were, then each and every bishop in the U.S. would be OBLIGATED to make such a pronouncement � and they are not doing so, nor should they.

12. I worded the title wrong...I realize it's the churches. I was pointing out

how the churches paid NO attention to the Pope pre-war comments warining shrub not to go to Iraq.....

These same churches see the wreckege from the wreckless policy and are "pushing him"
