What have the freepers been saying about Jon Stewert and Crossfire?
Anyone got any info on their opinions. I refuse to visit their site so don't have a clue but I would imagine they would be praising him as well. They truly love anyone who has the balls to get in someone's face like that and from I could tell it was a nonpartisan attack. He didn't just single out the conservatives. Jon attacked all political hacks and declared them a menace to America. Did it just floor the Freeps or are they so one sided that they can not give praise because Jon said he will vote for Kerry?

1. Here are some quotes from one of the threads.
It certainly surprised me, but they're in full support of what he said. I removed the names, times and all that extraneous jazz.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Stewart is a genius............. I only wish he were completely on our (right) side!
-----------------------------------------------------------
There's a section in John Stewarts new book, 'America: The book', that may be some indication of what that was about. The chapter on 'Journalism' has a page long false start containing a blistering rant against the media. The gist is that the media is a pack of corporate sellout weasels that lets the country down by the horrible job they do. On the next page, they play it off as a technical difficulty and move on as though nothing had happened.

If you haven't read the book, I highly recommend it. It's written like a high school textbook, except that the facts are often blatantly (and hilariously) wrong and the satire is razor sharp from cover to cover.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for posting this. I really enjoyed reading the transcript.

"STEWART: It's not honest. What you do is not honest. What you do is partisan hackery. And I will tell you why I know it."

Stewart has some great points. I can't stand to watch this show because its all spin. Can't stand that. It all seems so fake. On a show like Special Report on Fox you have analysts, who although they prefer one side or the other, will admit when their favorite politician messes up.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Ouch. I didn't say I liked the guy. Maybe I'll be able to convert him from the dark side. Better yet, maybe I can convince him he needs to sabotage Kerry's campaign (even worse than it already is) so that Hillary can run in 2008
-----------------------------------------------------------
This is so great I'm sorry i missed it PROPS FOR STEWERT: I may not agree with him politically but i thought it was great that he told MSM where they could go in their own house!

However, I Hope his book sells well because i think Stewert is going to get the same treatment any one who dares to stand against MSM gets. I bet he wont keep his job more than 6 months before they "Find Him a replacement" Comedy Central is going to get mad heat from this and the left dogs are goina get stuck on him.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Support for the Demagogic Party is a reactionary position. Jon Stewart is a DP supporter. Jon Stewart is a reactionary. As soon as he was obviously hostile, they should have thrown him off the set. Al Franken doesn't belong on TV in the first place. Jon and Al should retire with their co-conspirator, Bill Maher, whose egregiously misnamed show, "Politically Incorrect", was cancelled after his post-9/11 diatribe.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"You know what's interesting, though? You're as big a dick on your show as you are on any show."

Wow, that may go down in broadcast history! Sure Stewart is a lefty, but he is more against the media in how they portray politics. The line about not caring about the O'Reily story was perfect, in that there are far more important things to worry aout right now.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Jon Stewart is a graduate of William & Mary. He gave the commencement speech when my son graduated in May. Stewart, even with his liberal ideologies, is still a fairly likeable person, with a sharp wit, keem sense of the obvious, and a delivery that ALMOST puts him in the same league as Dennis Miller. Now, if he'll just join Dennis, we'd have another great asset.

2. It would be interesting to see what they would say had Stewart's comments
been directed to Tony Snow, or anyone else on Fox.

I think the freeps are just glad that it was an attack on CNN, who they consider a peer to Al Jazeera.

3. Funniest thing I have read today!
"a delivery that ALMOST puts him in the same league as Dennis Miller."

Good Lord, that is the most retarded statement. Miller isn't 1% the comic talent of Stewart but comparing the two is really f'n funny!

4. "It all seems so fake."
Keen eye there, detective.
