Two Weeks till the Rioting Begins...........
no matter who wins the election, us or them, there will be a violent backlash, like a greek tragedy train wreck, it's coming. people on both sides are so polarized and pissed that it will explode when the winner is announced.

the minds are made up, the undecideds better get out of the way. if Kerry wins, the nazi bush supporters will definitely take it to the streets with violence and rage that they can no longer contain. if bush wins again, we, the people with brains, will revolt as well. it's a dangerous scenario that we must brace ourselves for.

you could call it a civil war that is coming, not the one we've romanticized into a mini-series, but the new one. the conservatives versus the liberals. both sides are taking it to the brink this time, and it's a lethal combination, looking for a catalyst to set it off. election night is that catalyst.

last time, we dems got bit in the ass, and we whined a bit, but let it go in defeat and humiliation. but it won't go that way this time if they try the same coup de tat ploy.

any reading of any right wing website reveals the violent mood and attitude of the hard core conservative base. they talk about guns, riots, threats, ultimatums, and kicking our asses, figuratively and literally. they are boiling with rage and faux patriotism/nationalism/religious fundamentalism. they feel threatened and they are desperate to win at any cost, and we know how they cheat and steal and KILL people to win.

i fear election night, and the days following it. i fear the backlash and rage that will explode from all sectors. friends turning against friends, brothers against brothers. bumperstickers will become targets as will the people who bear them. martial law, reservists aiming rifles at their own brothers and sisters, the military being used to control riots and chaos on the home base.

don't bother telling me to relax and put on a happy face, i know how liberal-haters think. they are seriously dangerous and on the verge of critical mass. they are cornered animals with nothing to lose, and they are zombies awaiting orders to kill liberals and take over.

paranoid much mo? yup, i'm paranoid, and so are they.

i would be glad to have my theory trashed and ridiculed after the election. boy mo, you sure were all scared over nothin'. i hope that's true, but i can see it happening for real, can't you?

4. No. Mo, you are wrong about this. There will be dancing in the streets
and the fascist idiots will go back to their hidey holes.

The freepers are largely a creation of Rove et al, kinda like Bin Laden. There are a handful of cranks and misfits and an army of dolts - but cowardly ones.

Anyone who expects anything but jubilation after the election (if Kerry wins) is just too pessimisitic about America.

And the right wing will probably be relieved too. They KNOW Bush is a charlatan - and a stupid one - so they will probably rejoice too.

I do NOT believe the rethugs at thios point have ANY numbers to defeat Bush. I think between cell phone users and first time voters voting to stop a draft, it will be a landslide for Kerry.

And I think the assholes will know they are just that and have been all along and will slink away.

They will prepare for the next elections and fight for their hold on what little base is left. For the next time we let our guard against fascism down.

They are cowardly (most of them) and the rest who are military and cops etc. are going to be on OUR side now.

12. me too, but I viwew these Bushzis as a HUGE minority. PS MO--
they are only a tiny fragment of society.

Did you go to any of the protests? I did with my wife and kids.

Half a million antiBush antiwar protesters and FIFTEEN stinkers with antiabortion antichoice signs with religious sayings.

They are NOTHING compared to the rest of America.

That does NOT mean they might not steal the election and that some will become sick goons whatever happens.

But WE are the new majority no matter what.

Tha vast electorate and citizenry KNOWS Bush is an asshole and a moronic pinhead. Even the guys with shotdguns and conbfederate flags in their pickups will be just as happy to see Bush GONE!

Only A few psychos )Like Jack Black plays in Bob Roberts) will give a shit.

PS Mo -- check your dumail and give me a reply PLEASE. I want this to work

11. I agree
I see it in the faces of the repubs I work with. They are weakly supporting shrub* but when the curtain is closed, they will be voting for Kerry.

For months the political conversations in the office have been going on non-stop. For every talking point they spout, I go print out the debunking for them to read. They have really crumbled since the debates. It's almost funny.

There will not be an uprising.

if you are not correct. They can mouth all you want, but when it comes to the time to absolutely make that choice, alone, in the booth, how many of them will choose Bush/Cheney?

BTW, my other county email group has devolved to the only reason to vote for Bush/Cheney is that the CPUSA endorses Kerry (they actually don't--it's an anybody but Bush site.)

Hit them with the facts.

7. I wish I could be as optimistic as you.
I see Americans as being so devoted to their sheepery that it really doesn't matter if the election is won with massive fraud or not, not many will bother to take the time from their day to day life to do anything about it.
Americans don't care. That is why so many don't vote in the first place.

17. That riot was a staged event
and one of the main ringleaders, Armondo Guiterrez, was on the payroll of the Chairman of the Miami/Dade Canvassing Board. He also had connections to the other two canvassing board members.

When the canvassing board saw the hoard of rioters at their door, they were not afraid or surprised. They saw only friendly faces and they knew it was all part of the show.

I doubt if they will get away with this stunt again.

20. If Bush loses
the rioting will begin at the top. "Bitter pill" doesn't come close to describing what Dubya will have to swallow. A man convinced that there isn't an inch of daylight between God's Will and his own, with 2 months to stew over the travesty of national rejection, is a man who'll likely say goodbye to the vestiges of his sanity.

What I fear is the election dirty tricks. They have been planning this stuff for four years. We have not planned for four years to anticipate what they will do.

I read at DU last night that a car was searched near an airport with 300 registration forms for Democrats!

Are you more secure than you were four years ago?

Most Americans don't feel secure in one way or another! We have no choice, but to trust the American people to do the right thing this time! The more the GOPers do to try and disrupt a fair election, the more the voters are going to turn against them! The Neocon apparatus controls far more wealth than the Democrats do, and they will fight and cheat to keep the wealth and power they now have! The Neocons are a radical element of American society that has banded with other radical elements to become the core of the republican party!

I'd say that at least 15 to 20 % of the registered republicans think the Neocons are dangerous and crooked! Even Slimy Bob Barff...err...Barr, is alarmed about the Patriot Act, and on CNN of all places, talking about Bush's trampling of America's civil rights!

"The war on Terra-ists is neverending," sez the GOPers! They can catch Bill Clinton or Martha Stewart, but they can't catch the anthrax killers or the Enron man! The GOPers bitch and moan about democrats being the tax and spenders, but they pay Halliburton/KBR a hundred dollars a load, to wash the GIs clothes in Iraq! Meanwhile the troops in Iraq don't have safe vehicles to deliver Halliburton's watered down three dollar a gallon fuel in!

You could go on for days about the mistakes and outrageous misdeeds of this administration! I have got to believe that some republicans somewhere and some middle of the road fence sitters, have a F**king clue by now! If they don't, we may truly wind up, in a world of Sh*T, even worse than the one in which we have found ourselves today!

I'd rather be a liberal, than a registered GOP voter like Tim McVeigh or Kenny Boy! The nutcases are out there and Reich Wingers are still stoking them! Rush and Jerry are still preaching hate 24/7! Anything can happen! Don't start Any Shit And There Won't Be Any Shit = The Golden Rule, I just have to HOPE the Repubs see the light!

HOPE is the best help we have! John Kerry says HOPE is on the way!

31. I think we make a mistake by calling them Republicans
We all know many devout Republicans that will be voting for Kerry because they don't like what has happend to their Party the GOP under this administration.

Lets quit giving them credence and call them what they are "defrauders" or "CONS". They have highjacked The Loyal Opposition, the Republican Party and have based their party on fraud and deceit in order to obtain power and wealth. They have used fundamentalist christians belief on abortion, homsexuality, and one religion(their own), to advance thier power grab. They have used the mentality of the "once you are a Republican, you are a Republican for life," mentality, regardless who gets hurt.

A democracy requires a 2-Party system to maintain itself, if we allow any one Party to control we are no better than a dictatorship. Lets get Kerry/Edwards elected and hold their feet to the fire in order to get our Nation back on track. At the same time let those independent/sound thinking Republicans understand that we will support them in gaining control of their "conservative" Party of
Lincoln again.

Let's come up with some names to call The Bush Party instead of conservatives ( of which they are not), or Republicans and maybe another logo beside the elephant.

30. I don't think that there will be rioting if Kerry wins
There are few really strong Bush supporters who would riot. The average Bush voter is a status quo voter. A number of them don't really like Bush but think that he is their best bet on protecting them from the terrorists or a rise in taxes. The rabid Fundies were around when Clinton, who they saw as a Godless man, was elected and they didn't riot then so they wouldn't riot now either. even though power hungry Bush might be inclined not to go without a fight, he probably wants to retire into a rich comfortable lifestyle anyway.
If Bush is reselected under questionable election processes like last time, there might be some rioting that Bush will quickly put down by force. We will see if that leads to even more rioting or not.
Let us all hope that Kerry wins and becomes president.

If any bunch of repuke staffers try to close down a polling station or recount I will personally introduce their teeth to the back of their throat, even if I have to cross state lines to do it. Our democracy is not to be fucked with. I am assamed we let them have it last time.

54. If they resort to violent acts, they will VERY quickly discover that....
...liberals have guns, too, and quite a few of them.

And shortly before these animals get completely stamped out, they will have discovered that they were VASTLY outnumbered.

55. Before preparing for The American Civil War, Part II
May I suggest a somewhat less violent alternative.

Excercise your American civil rights and sign this pledge:

http://www.nov3.us/

And remember, what mobilized the American public in favor of civil rights in the 1960s was the non-violent reaction of the pro-civil rights movement in the face of armed conservative violence.

This is a PR war, and the winning side will be the non-violent aggressors.

Remember that in your overall strategic planning.

<sarcasm>

It's not as if the opposition is in danger of repealling the Second Amendment. If armed resistance becomes necessary, G.W. and the Republicans have ensured that automatic weapons are available to the general public.

NOTE to DEMOCRATS: In your preparations for this years elections, remember to included your membership to the NRA.

58. rioting
Lots of macho posturing here. I can't tell if some people worried about violence or wishing for it, better re-check your values.

59. Funny, I don't see that at all.

I see a lot of people genuinely concerned about the fate of this country, and trying to sort out how all of this might go down, and formulate decisions on how to deal with it.

Perhaps YOU should re-check what mo' wrote.

Or perhaps you should wake up to the reality that this country has been taken over by thugs desperate to assert their agenda, and that they will NOT go quietly if they can help it.

Either way, it is FAR past time to be passive about what is going on.

We may have to fight for our country, and we may have to fight to get it back. How that fight materializes is anybody's guess, but if you think November 2 is going off without a hitch, you are living in fantasyland.
