Terry McAuliff On Fire on Blitzer! Made Ed Gillespie look like a fool!
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 12:23 PM by KoKo01
I've complained about McAuliff on DU so much that I sounded like a broken record. But, today and in his last three appearances he has completely redeemed himself.

At every idiotic RW statement Gillspie made and every sidetraking statemnt to throw the message off..McAuliff stayed on Dem message and got jobs, healthcare, economy and Iraq failure across.

I don't know what happened to McAuliff but he's learned to throw the Repugs game back in their face. I was laughing outloud at Gillespie whereas in the past I wanted to throw things at him. All because McAuliff was showing him up for the robotic RW idealogue he really is.

Terry got out the point that Dems are being urged to report "EVERY" allegation of illegal voter disenfranchisment EARLY so that we don't have another 2000 disaster. He was upbeat and enthusiastic about all our efforts. He urged Nader to withdraw and help us....on and on.

Go Terry!

6. No one on "our" team needs to feel bad
only the ones outside looking in need to. :)

4. I'm not the only one who has been disappointed with McAuliff though
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 12:38 PM by KoKo01
there are many of us who feel he did little to help us appearing on these pundit shows in the past, I'm glad he's suddenly gotten "on point."

7. Oh, come on-
she's more than "redeemed" herself, but she isn't the one who needed redemption, McAuliffe is. There were very good reasons to get on his case.

20. AMEN!!
McAuliffe has been awful. If he has somehow, miraculously gotten himself together to say a few pithy things suddenly, hooray. But NO ONE should be made to feel badly because he's been a worthless ass and they dared to point that out.

19. No need for redemption when truth is spoken.
When Terry does that he should do, he should be commended. And when he does't do what he should to, he should be criticized. There are more examples of him failing to do what he should do than there are examples of him doing what he should do. But this is one example of something done right, and I commend him on it.

2. I missed most of it, but did you hear him when
he talked about disenfranchaised voters? He said to contact the media immediately. The part of the RW passing out pamphlets in black churchs with the incorrect voting date made me steam!

5. Pssssstt........
FYI, it's McAuliffe, not Macauliffe.

I know, I know, it'a a trivial and annoying correction, but when you grow up the daughter of not one, but TWO, English teachers you tend to pick up their annoying "correction" habits as well!

Many of us have been disappointed with McAuliff in the past - thanks for posting this info to those of us who can't handle watching mainstream news and cable anymore.

10. Gillespie doesn't need help looking like a fool...
or a chinless hamster. He manages that very well on his own.

Think of the hamsters when you say things like that! ;) ROFL! I choked on my coffee when I read it. Very fitting, "Chinless hamster." **snicker**

15. No disrespect towards hamsters intended.
I'm still trying to figure out what animal Ken Mehlman's face reminds me of.

13. Maybe McAuliff's trying to save his job
After Kerry's elected, McAuliff knows that there's a good chance that there'll be a new head of the DNC. Maybe McAuliff's actually doing his job now in a despreate attempt to not lose it to someone else after Kerry's elected.

14. McAuliff sucked
I can't figure out for the life of me why, when given the chance they don't tell the audience about these rigged polls. Wolfie boy threw the bogus Gallup poll in his face this morning and he gave some kind of dry lame answer about don't believe polls. This was the perfect time to tell everyone that Gallup sampled 9% more repukes then Dems. As soon as anyone hears this they would immediately ignore and put zero worth of credibility into these propaganda hit pieces.

Terry McAuliff...:wtf:
