3. But, but, but...
Al Gore is unhinged. Don't you take what the media says at face value?
How can he say that about our great leader?...
:eyes:

"(GWBush) has exposed Americans abroad and Americans
in every town and city to a greater danger of attacks by
terrorists because of his arrogance, willfulness, and bungling
at stirring up hornets nests that pose no threat whatsoever to
us."

"(M)ost importantly of all, (GWBush) should apologize to all
those men and women throughout our world who have held
the ideal of the United States of America as a shining goal,
to inspire their hopeful efforts to bring about justice under a
rule of law in their own lands."

"(GWBush) owes an apology to the U.S. Army for cavalierly
sending them into harm's way while ignoring the best advice
of their commanders."

-- Al Gore, May 26, 2004 at New York University.

8. Transcript of that speech?
Anyone? Anyone?

I heard a great few lines about how Bush never admits mistakes...I'd really like to find it.

18. Sorry, can't find any yet
It's not up on moveon.org, c-span.com or algore04. It's a wonderful speech. I expect C-SPAN will re-air it tonight.

9. He finished strong.
He talked about how shrubco has intimidated the congress and stacked the courts with RW judges. And then:

"The only institution that is left to hold this administration accountable is you, the American voter."

I may not have the quote 100% correct, but that was the jist.

It was great to see ham and Tipper again. Brought tears to my eyes, literally.

10. I shed some tears toward the end
that we were denied a GREAT President in Al. I don't often say I hate people, as it is not constructive, but I HATE that SOB Nader and all his supporters that said there was NO DIFFERENCE between Gore and Bush. Just look what a mess we are in because of that denial of reality!

11. Huzzah!
Huzzah! Seconded!

Every time I hear that now, that snide: there's no difference between republicans and democrats:

Tell that to the thousand plus American soldiers dead in Iraq. Tell that to the mother of three who lost her manufacturing job on *'s watch. Tell that to the 21,000 plus Iraqis dead. Don't you dare try to convince me we would be in the same situation had Gore been acting president. No difference indeed.

13. It is nice to know I am not alone
I have kept hoping I would wake up from this nightmare, but as Gore said--this IS REALITY--
I am even more impressed by Gore in his conduct after the coronation of W, as I was impressed by Dean in his gracious acceptance of REALITY in supporting Kerry, even though he had every right to be bitter. We have such REAL MEN in the Dem Party!:kick:

17. GORE'S BEST SPEECH
Al Gore at Georgetown Univ, (A Catholic institution) on C-SPAN today was his best ever. I wish Kerry and the rest of the dems would repeat and run non-stop ads in the swing states Gore's "right wing ideology" theme "They are simaltaneously dishonest and incompetent!"

I voted for Kerry in California last week by absentee ballot!
