I have posted only some of the headlines, you can click the link to read all and details.

The Iraqi Resistance Report is based on reports filed by non-western reporters on the ground in the locations mentioned, as opposed to US military approved reporters barricaded in a hotel in Baghdad, so it is not suitable for the news forum.

The reporters who file the these stories do not even attend US military briefings. They are spread out all over Iraq in areas where it would be too dangerous to have a US military briefing.

Accounting tricks. Last year someone told me that, for instance, if you got wounded in Iraq, air lifted to Germany, and died there from your wounds, then you will possibly not show up in the list of those killed in action. You'll be under some other designation.

However, I take most of the reports from Iraq with a grain of salt. Some of these news sources are biased (both for or against US forces). All I know is everyday someone is dying over there. Someone else reported we'd lost 26 soldiers in 5 days of fighting if I remember correctly?

You'd have to wonder how many more died off the field of battle. I'd say for every soldier killed, there must be 4 or 5 more who were wounded, and they don't report how many of those die due to their wounds.

3. Press is banned at Dover, all US casualties are under cover ban

The US military makes decision on titrated release, presumably according to instructions from Washington.

As I noted in the original post, this particular report is filed by non-western reporters on the ground in Iraq. Their reports are not vetted by US military censors, they are not embedded, their presence on the battlefield is not authorized by the US military, and they are reporting from areas where it would not be safe to have a US military briefing.

It is entirely possible that they are not even aware of the content of US military briefings. Some of them may have never even been to the Baghdad Sheraton at all.
