I should have done a better job with my "free" F-9/11 borrowing plan...

got 6 copies and put them in a small box with a short note and talked the lady who runs the lakeside grocery/gas/bait shop down the street into setting it up on the counter by the cash register...
the note on the box said something like this: "If you haven't seen this movie and want to make up your own mind about it, please feel free to borrow one of these copies at no charge. All I ask is that you return it afterward, and if you would care to, write your name and phone number on the paper in this box...if you wish to contact me, feel free to call at 462-xxxx or email krs@valornet.com"

That was Wednesday...I checked yesterday and all but 1 of them were gone, but only 1 name & phone number on the paper. Went back by a couple hours ago, and there were 3 in the box, so I guess some of them were returned, and one more name on the sheet but no phone number. I am
thinking that some of the local RW nuts just took 2 or maybe 3 so they could burn them up.

Sigh. Not sure what to think. (This is a VERY 'red' area, BTW)

Well, nice plan :), and hey, if you helped 1 or 2 people - that's already good enough!

I'm sure most people aren't comfortable leaving their name and number.

The copies are probably making its rounds. :)

..there was a post earlier about getting it played on your local PATV channel.... apparently Michael Moore has approved of this move and it would allow you to provide it to a lot of folks to watch in the privacy of their own homes... just a suggestion... good luck!

if people are actually having the consideration to bring it back, you did good. that you have not recieved harassing phone calls and emails is incredible!

Great idea, so give yourself lots of credit. If you can afford it, just let what happens, happen. If some have just dumped them, then we can hope their own bad karma will come back and get 'em..... :hi:

Either way, you are adding to the level of education. By doing it trustingly with the honor system, there is also a message and learning in that. It certainly shows up those who would crap all over it. :)

I've lived long enough that I don't believe there is one "right" way to do things....... I think this is great, and something good will come out of it.
