CRAZY/FASCINATING Insight Into Repub PSYCHOLOGY and TACTICS On Olberman!
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 08:29 PM by Beetwasher
He just did a story on the Repub and Dem Campaign Hdqtrs in Fairfield (I think) Ohio because they are both in the same building.

When the Repubs were asked about it, they ALL said they never knew or noticed that the Dems were in the same bldg. Like robots. Practically the same exact word for word denial. It was creepy and it was OBVIOUSLY a blatant lie. For a start, the heads of the campaign hdqtrs both know eachother and went to the same High School and, I mean, come on, let's be real.

Here's the interesting part the way I see it. They were given ORDERS to lie and say that by the head of the outfit. Think about that. This in some sense was their boss testing his power over them. To tell them to lie, when they ALL had to know everyone in their town (at least A LOT) would be watching it and KNOW the were lying. What kind of person would lie like that in a situation that they must know would be widely publicized? These are the "troops", the people who will be given orders to be carried out, no matter what. Very interesting IMO.

1. Fascinating, and very revealing
Lie for me, and show the world you are lying, and I will know that I truly have the power over you, and you will drink the koolaide.

3. repubs have come to assume that they will NEVER
be challenged on their LIES.

they are empowered. they don't care.

they will literally SAY ANYTHING, including the LIE that democrats will SAY ANYTHING.

it is stunning. and, by the very VOLUME and DIVERSITY of the lying, it is nearly impossible to isolate and address them individually.

it's a tactic alright, but a sick and depressing one.

4. Yes, But The FASCINATING Thing About This Lie Is
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 08:42 PM by Beetwasher
There was really no reason for it...Why deny that you're aware that you're neighbors w/ the other party, when it's probably obvious and common knowledge to everyone in the town?

The only reason is they were all instructed to and the ONLY reason, it seems to me, that they were instructed to lie, was to excercise their blind allegiance to the "cause" and to test the level of control and to further induce the trance. "In for a penny, in for a pound". With this lie, they emerged themselves deeper into the fantasy.

5. so, if they are 'called' on this pointless LIE
they can deflect attention from more serious ones?

who knows. they're taking the kool-ade on an intravenous drip now.

there's really NO historial model for them. ok, they haven't opened concentration camps (yet) but their use of utterly over-the-top dishonest propaganda is something new.

7. Don't you know how much
Repugs like living in their own "reality-based" communities? Of course, they're totally devoid of any reality. . .

10. how many senior Bush officials have baldly lied to us?
And repeatedly...

For example, denying saying things they obviously had said.

Lying while knowing that the people they're lying to know they're lying.

just as they were in Florida 2000; just give them the order --
