PBS Frontline Now: Bush's military cabinet w/ Bob Woodward
among others. They are describing the selection of Powell, then the neocons.

5. Excellent show.....I understand now why Powell was chosen for Sec of
State. Cheney knew he could payback Powell for not letting him know his strategy while head of the Joint Chiefs. Christ...Bush had to pay back SH for threatening poppy...cheney wants to payback Powell...these people are sickening. Nothing like playing games with the lives of the citizens of the US and the world for that matter.

I hope the hell of their own making is unbearable for them...long, slow, and painfull.

8. I think some of the material might have been taken from
last year's "The War Behind Closed Doors" on Frontline. Some of it seems familiar, but most is new.

Some of the PBS stations link to the archived programs. Those Frontline programs from early last year are quite excellent and would make great educational materials. In the one aforementioned, Brent Scullcroft is interviewed about Iraq, why Saddam shouldn't be overthrown, etc.

7. "Rumsfeld's War" is the name of this Frontline
program. It should be on network television, but everyone is more concerned with NYPD Blue, Judging Amy, and the ads for a Dallas Reunion (no shit, I saw the ad tonight).

9. Left coasters, etc., BOLO for this GREAT TV.
A most eviscerating indictment of the crazy white men at the Pentagon who have involved us in the greatest blunder of our country's history.

Before, in Nam, it took ten years to break the US Army. These fools have moved at blind speed to break it again in less than two.

:grr:

10. I just interrupted my watching of it here in DC to see if any DUers
were watching. It is so chilling, I won't be able to sleep now. These guys are pure moral degenerates, egomaniacal and evil. If every single undecided watch this GD thing from start to finish I doubt they would ever seriously seriously vote for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield. We are self destructing from within, and the average Republican is too misinformed, igonorant, misguided and Kool-Aid drenched to get it. And Powell ... geezus how is he sleeping at night now? You can see the bloody angst on his face.

This also shows what happens when one of your major estates--journalism play lap dog and butt kisser, just lays down. Simply sad. I cannot imagine what the state of the world and this country will remotely be like if this arrogant crash crew is reelected. Say your prayers.

11. Welcome to a peek inside the military.
Even more obscene, insane, and corrupt under Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz/Cheney/Bush than anything in our history.

15. You might be able to get a digital version
at PBS.org. They usually have this archived so you cna see it again. I bet the tapes are expensive, and I expect it'll be on again soon.

17. It's just amazing that this administration has any following at all.
How can people, in the face of all the information that is available about the Bush administrations lies and mishandling of Iraq and Afghanistan, be in such denial about Bush and his henchmen?

Channel 2 reruns its whole evening schedule starting at midnight, so fire up your VCRs if you missed this one. (3:00 AM)

(Edited to correct time--but the Nova episode about the Neanderthals and the Scientific American Frontiers episode about the peopling of the Americas are also worth watching.)
