"A vulgar name involving a whistle" - WaPo gets it:
Battling Bush From Beyond
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A5594-2003Aug30.html
Sally Baron has achieved in death what eluded her in life: leading a political movement.
When the 71-year-old Wisconsin woman died two weeks ago after heart surgery, her family listed an unusual request in her death notice: "Memorials in her honor can be made to any organization working for the removal of President Bush."
The local paper, the Capital Times of Madison, reported the request by the family of the onetime assembly-line worker. The report included such details as Baron's habit of shouting at the television set when Bush appeared and her nickname for him -- a vulgar phrase involving a whistle.
The article wound up on the Associated Press wire and MSNBC. Two days after its initial report, the paper ran a follow-up article reporting that "dozens of people from around the United States have written to the Capital Times saying they will make donations," and that others had made T-shirts with a photo of the deceased.
Staff writers Juliet Eilperin and Dana Milbank contributed to this report.

1. This is great...
she sounds like she was a wonderful person. I sure hope the Whistle Ass contributions being made in her name are a comfort to her family. Sounds like her family tried hard to honor her the way she would have appreciated.

2. Odd that they couldn't say "Whistle-Ass"...
I swear I've seen worse terms printed in the Post.

"Whistle-Ass" is a funny term -- a "vulgar name involving a whistle" sounds....vulgar.

5. Anybody in DC who could write a letter to the editor clarifying
what the "vulgar phrase" was? That would be one of the best ways to get whistle-ass a more of a part of the day-to-day lexicon.
