You know, it just dawned on me about the pundits.
We all wonder "Why do those silly, silly people seem to be so reality-challenged?". It is hard for us to understand why they talk their shit, when it is so at odds with the facts.

Well, I do believe I done figgered it out, chilluns:

They are heavily invested in their center-right to hard right stance. That is their currency. Their coin of the realm. They know that when Kerry gets in, it is game, set and match. Now, they might make only scale for the appearences on the telly, but yee doggies(!), it sure is a good advertisement for whatever gratuitous tree killer they might have on the shelves at the book stores.

They don't want to lose their free lunch. That simple. Them advertisements cost real money. It surely is that simple, in part.

Sidenote: Somebody was looking for people to post on his blog. Maybe I oughta become a blogger. In a few years I can then become a pundit. Then I will be right on the old sugartit, huh?

I can scream epithets with the best of 'em too. ;-)

2. The "coin of the realm" is counterfeit
Right now there's a good paycheck in telling the rich what they want to hear. Best hope is that as they become more reality detached, people simply quit listening or automatically assume the opposite is true. When propaganda become useless, the pundits can go to Junior College and find new job skills
