Poll question: Which one will it be Kerry/Dean or Dean/Kerry
Edited on Sun Aug-31-03 01:04 PM by corarose
Put them together and add Clark and we have a winning ticket.

Which one will it be Kerry/Dean or Dean/Kerry.

Bush will not be able to debate either one of them. I still would like to see Bush debate Al Sharpton.

Please tell us who your dream ticket would be?

1. those two are definately not being on the same ticket
they've fought way too hard to ask the other, and such a ticket would provide no benefits since both are from states we're definately toing to carry anyway.

2. Do we need a Southerner on the ticket?
The south has so many right wingers in it do we necessarily need them to win the Election? I know Florida is the South but I don't think of them as being as right wing as the other states.

4. not neccesarily a southernor
but I don't see how a ticket consisting of people from 2 of the most liberal states in the country benefits us in any way.

3. maybe dean or kerry, but not together
i can see both being on top or bottom of the ticket. but they most likely will not be on the ticket together.

6. Dean/Gephardt, maybe Gephardt/ Dean
I usually reject the idea that we need a Southerner on a ticket, but with Kerry being a "taxachussets Democrat" and Dean being from Vermont, I would have to say that this ticket is too heavily weighted toward New England. It would also be nice to have someone who didn't go to Yale on the ticket. I'm getting a little tired of that institutions stranglehold on power. Gephardt also adds some liberal credibility as far as economics are concerned, because he has the backing of the unions and worked very hard against NAFTA.

8. I am beginning to think that something is up with Yale
I guess it's a requirement to run for office and be considered a winning ticket.

BS Get a guy on there from a community college and I bet he could win if he had the publicity. Then again it would have to be a right winger before he would get positive publicity.

11. I noticed one thing about the Presstitutes
They don't say anything good or bad about Gephardt and they act like he is irrelevant.

17. Yale has a stranglehold on power, but the South doesn't??
In the 1992, 1996, and 2000 elections, ALL the major party candidates, Perot included were from the "South". I'm not one of those "South bashers", but I don't believe ANY one region of the country should dominate national politics, be it the South, New England, or otherwise.

Or any one educational institution for that matter.

And when the hell is the Pacific Northwest gonna get a shot? Hell, I'd throw Gary Locke's name in for the VP slot if he hadn't turned into a Repug Lite in recent years.

In this particular election, where it IS neccessary to take some of the Southern states away from Shrub - if not for the number of electoral votes then just for general principle - a Southern running mate could be a very wise move. Graham and Edwards would qualify. General Clark might be even better, as he could do it without sacrificing a Senate seat.

10. other
I honestly doubt that Dean will select Kerry as a running mate and I doubt Kerry will select Dean. One practical reason is they are both from new england. WE will carry Massachusetts and Vermont no matter what.

12. No Dean VP
I just don't see how Dean could be a VP choice for any of the other candidates.

13. What is this Knock on Yale
being presented here. Getting a first rate education and being a brilliant student are good things. Do you not remember how the Yalies booed our beloved leader/not when he gave the commencement address and bragged about being a C student? That idiot would never have gotten in Yale (and he certainly never made a C there,) if the cards had not been stacked. He is the worst kind of loser. He uses other people, does nothing to deserve the chances others give him and does nothing constructive with them. Remember he got a 25 out of 100 on the Air National Guard test and still got the place. There is nothing wrong with an Ivy League education; there is a lot of diversity on those campuses. Many graduates are on DU.

18. My choice too.
Dean is the one for prez with Clark covering our bets with the swing voters and repugs dissatisfied with bu$h.

Having two New Englanders would not settle well with those in the south.
