Do dem's not vote, or will Bush just ride the 9/11 bandwagon? I don't understand how hard it could be to just say..it's the economy, and Osama is missing, Saddam is missing, and terror looms. I think it's silly that Bush has a chance, and yet he does.

4. I see...the the obvious culprits again
I guess you're right...still though, I think that the voting as far as dem's goes is lower. I wonder why; especially people of my age (18-20)

5. He has a very loyal base that is completely
Behind his cause, their cause.

They know they have to rally every republican behind Bush in order to remain the dominate party.

Up until 2000, the Dem's always enjoyed an advantage in grassroots organization. The GOP always had the money advantage but never had the people resources that the dem's had.

That has changed big time.

The whole anti Clinton campaign caused so many people to hate the Clintons that the GOP then channeled that hatered from Clinton to the democrats. It was masterfull strategy that allows the GOP to get away with handouts to the wealthiest Americans and still lay claim to a populist base.....

13. Really? Yet Bill could walk into crowds.
And he didn't have to enter by the back way. And he was oft applauded and cheered....whenever he appeared, which was frequently.

So maybe you could rethink that nonsense?

BTW, how many of those loyal Republican drones still have jobs? Kids in the military? Retirement funds?

You gotta stop believing everything you hear on TV.

6. Because Rove knows how to channel fear and hatred
And the people of America really want to trust the Bush Administration, despite all of the reasons they have been shown not to trust them. They are too scared not to trust this administration.

If those dirty lowdown skanks don't win.......they steal it. No wonder the bastard is doing everything against the American people...he doesn't have to answer to anyone. The thought of another 4 years of him finishing this country off makes me want to puke buckets. :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

14. I'm with you, zidzi!
Bush is very vulnerable right now. The right wingers won't admit it, but he is. This country is a MESS, the biggest I've seen in my adult life.

Yet there is light at the end of the proverbial tunnel now. We have someone who can beat Bush, and he and his supporters are on a roll!

RULE #1: PROPAGANDA WORKS

No offense, but you should get reeel worried. While Democratic candidates can't even get name recognition, bush gets a full-length cable feature about how heroic he was on 9-11-2001.

They are completely ignoring the Grassroots in this Country at their own peril.

The Power of The People will Take Our Country Back!

I don't care how many lies they prop him up with..the truth will out!

I believe that and I'm not going to let anything make me stop believing.

18. "So why does Bush still have a big likelihood of winning still?"

I don't believe it and many others don't either.

The hornets nest in Iraq is going to continue to
get worse and AWOL's regime will be to blame both
at home and abroad.

"Jobless recovery" is a joke! People are scared
of losing their jobs and those that are unemployed
are going to have to settle for low wage jobs. As
more high paying jobs are shipped overseas we will
lose our tax base and everyone will suffer from it.

Our medical system is a disaster and people want
radical change, I think they are ready to vote for
it this time.

If we get hit by terrorism again AWOL will be
justifiably blamed for not financing homeland
security and getting us trapped in Iraq where
we have increased the number of our enemies.

Bush's record on the environment is dreadful and
getting worse. We'll be hearing a lot more about
that.

Once the democrats have chosen their nominee all
gloves will come off and things are going to get
really nasty. Bush's record is not going to be
hidden so easily after that and the dems will
start drumming in sync, a loud, repetitive,
vibrating message that the press won't be able
to ignore.

21. That's the thing I hit People with is the Environment ...like "did
ya hear they lessened the air quality standards?"

And "did you hear they lied about the quality of air in the report after 9/11?"

And Good last paragraph..

"Once the democrats have chosen their nominee all
gloves will come off and things are going to get
really nasty. Bush's record is not going to be
hidden so easily after that and the dems will
start drumming in sync, a loud, repetitive,
vibrating message that the press won't be able

20. the media is creating the illusion that he is unstopable
and some in the Dem party believe it becuz of his money. But they don't seem to understand or care that even when he was 75% in the polls--or more than 80% after 9/11 he still had relatively weak "re-elect" numbers. Now it is even worse.

22. Well, let's see...
Is it because he's doing such a great job, and the economy is soaring, and Iraq and Afghanistan are successes and models of Peace and Democracy under his inspired leadership ?

Or is it because of this:

http://www.cleveland.com/election/index.ssf?/base/news/106207171078040.xml

Columbus - The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors - known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

25. If the nonpolitical voters still LIKE him next year,
he will win, and perhaps win BIG. Just like with Ronnie in 1984: many voters disapproved of his policies, but voted for him anyway, because they LIKED him. And Mondale was 'boring'. :eyes:

In short, we can't expect the masses to analyze politics and elections the way we do.
