2. Those were not the final polls of the campaign

Most of the final polls were within the margain of error for their sample. The only poll that can be close to being predictive of the actual result of an election is the one the before.

The final CNN poll had the result Gore 46, Bush 48 with a 2% MOE

They may fail in 2004, but did not in 2000.

3. I'd still like to see the actual publication of these "final" polls

I'm wondering how many of these numbers are self serving.

When were they published? A day before voting? Two days before? Wish this site would tell us.
