Frist has admitted pretending to adopt kittens to a good home..
..then killing them in medical experiments, when he was in medical school. Freelance medical research on unsuspecting family pets. This is the truth, and can be verified. It makes me ill to think of the families that thought their beloved kittens were going to a good home. And THAT assbite actually holds an honored spot in the GOP. Sick bunch.

6. Frist is probably right. Congress gave the President broad powers and
it would be left up to SCOTUS to rule on what congress meant. If Bush invaded Syria, I doubt that SCOTUS would accept a case leaving it to congress to decide. Even if congress passed a bill overriding Bush's action, Bush could veto the bill and 34 senators could sustain the veto leaving an invasion approved.

20. I agree-- Congress ceded the right to declare war when they
handed Bush the blank check on invading Iraq. Set a dangerous precedent.

18. At least the Punk isn't your senator. The shame of FrankenFrist is heavy
upon some of us. And some of us realize that we live in a state of people who must also be insane because they voted for and still support that crazy sumbitch.

10. Give it a shot. See what the people say about it.
Maybe you can get the American people and the rest of the world to give you their opinion. Maybe you won't like it. Maybe we'll be in the streets like we were last time. Maybe we'll be less peaceful than we were the last time. Maybe you can start a revolution. You fool.

I'd rather walk than pour gasoline in my tank that took blood to make.

12. I think that sums the administration's position.

I think that that honestly sums up what the administration's position happens to be. Last time around some saner voices prevailed within the administration and they decided not to test the issue. Next time around, if Bush stays, they probably won't bother (they might claim the Iraq authorization applies to Syria or they'll simply outright say, wanting to test the whole congressional approval thing, that they don't give a fuck --Cheney has a hardon for "restoring executive power" so he'd no doubt love to put it to the test).

And of course, we won't need a draft because W says so.

Bill Frist said, basically, "as Commander-in-Chief he doesn't need permission".

16. I do not think a Congressional resolution supersedes the Constitution
I also thought that when the Senators signed that Congressional resolution giving Bush* the authority they gave him. I think it was unconstitutional. They simply put in writing they would not challenge him, and consequently, try to impeach him.

Only Congress can declare a war. The President can summon the military to Defend the country if we were attacked, but he or she cannot dispatch the military for offensive purposes.

the kittens who had been stuck at animal shelters finally getting their shot at a loving home....only to have Frist adopt them, take them home, and carve them up. One sick bastard.

22. Syria is next on the PNAC list....
...and the *resident has power to order an invasion without congress - historically, no pres could order a war - congress had to do that. Now, however, because of the changes bu$hit enacted - he and he alone has the sole power to order such a thing. Isn't that correct?
