I know it's hard to tell it from the rest of their blatantly pro-GOP programming, but I couldn't help noticing O'Liely of the Suddenly $5 mil Lighter Wallet re-played his softball "interview" from a couple of weeks ago, when Bush had a chance to get his say on things without any pesky hard questions like at the debates.

Then, of course, he smeared Kerry for not coming on his show (like any lib with a brain would go into that viper's nest).

2. Hello, I'm from outer space.
As an individual who has probably seen about 30 minutes of FNC programming in his life, turning that channel on is like Thoreau stepping out of Walden Woods and landing in a heap of radioactive waste.

Their programming is packaged to appeal to, and exploit the short attention-spans of their target audience. The depth of their political commentary is astoundingly non-existent, relying only on sound-bytes selectively harvested to craft their version of how reality should be.

I can't believe that any rational human being, regardless of partisan instinct, would turn this sensationalistic tripe on and consider it to be a source of reliable information and accurate reporting.

Listening to the commentary made on FOX is like listening to any "rational" political analysis made by a hardline Bush supporter, and vice-versa. How well-defined the boundaries are for this perverted parallel universe where praise may be given, if only for republicans, and scorn may be delivered, if only for democrats.

This is seemingly the wellspring from which all madness flows.

Signing off,
Rational being from Outer Space.
