Bush Doesn't Want to Win
He's tired of the hard work. Understandable, up until he became President, he never had to do a day of it in his life.

3. Thats actually true, but for a different reason
The war in Iraq is a lost cause that seems to be beyond rescue. If Kerry wins, the Republicans can then start squarely blaming Kerry for every soldier thats killed or everything that goes wrong from Jan 20 onwards.
And believe me there will be plenty of fodder for Rush and Sean. They will make a 180 deg turn on their assesment of how things are going out there, even if everything continues exactly the same way as they are today.

4. That's right.
Watch for Kerry to get the Clinton treatment all over again.

9. You nailed that one.
That's why, this time, we've got to have Kerry's back. We may be faced with even more crap from Reps than we did under Clinton, if that's possible. I think we will and the great equalizer will be the internet.

5. he's already accomplished what the neocons wanted
he broke the "logjam" in the ME. anything that goes right there in the next century, free elections, cultural liberalism, the GOP will give him credit for. "a far-reaching, long-term vision", "an underappreciated president", "sacrificed his presidency for the good of the planet", etc. etc.

i can see now the spin we'll have to live through the rest of our lives.

retch.

I think he very much wants to win. Bush and his Administration are ideologues. They believe they're doing what needs to be done. They just don't have the same priorities that we do.

American casualties aren't really that big a deal to them. Poverty isn't a problem to them- in fact, it's desirable. Media consolidation is good. And it's like that on a host of other things.

What we call a mess, they call success.

8. He may be lazy, but his arrogance is driving him..... He definitely wants
(intends) to win.... No way he wants to face the humiliation that his father did....

10. He's had 100,000 people killed for re-election.
He wants to win more than anything, he just doesn't like to have to work for it.

11. Good Thing He Didn't Figure That Out Earlier
If Booosh had decided not to run for re-election, they would have nominated McCain,
who would have been much harder to beat.
