How many feel of you feel better after voting?

Wow its like a load off my chest. Went in this morning the first time I ever had to wait around to vote in 30 yrs. I looked around saw a few of the usual poll workers that know me and my family but everyone else was a stranger or a new voter. My district had the longest wait. I think the one old blue haired lady took about 10 minutes to vote, I could hear the clicks and she was very slow and deliberate. I had to vote for a high court Judge (a Republican) in my county so people who live here would not have to deal with a foreign judge who knows nothing about us. The good part is he has been a fantastic high court judge, for all the people. I left went and got some coffee and was whistling unconsciously, a few people asked me why. Oh I'm just so happy I voted. I am absolutely over the moon, can't wait to see the returns coming.

polls opened, endured the long line cuz godnoze if it would be longer later and I just wanted to be SURE that I got mine in, and PHEW, what a relief!

I live in San Francisco. Showed up about 10 minutes after the polls opened up and the whole thing took about an hour! By the time I left the line was down the block and around the corner!

GO KERRY GO!

Hubby and I voted at 8:30, took only 20 minutes, then went out for breakfast!

Wonderful start to a wonderful day!

The excitement is something else! Champagne cooling as I type!

...and the waiting has been hell.

It feels great!! I've been elated all morning, not just because we can finally rectify a four year travesty, but also because it has been beautiful seeing sooo many people fired up on democracy. I've always been a bit cynical regarding our culture... it's materialistic, shallow, tepid, and violent sometimes, but to see the people really get out there and say something, to show they care, one way or the other... wow!!!! This is the first election I've gotten that gooey muchy feeling from.

Had a bad night's sleep.

Ditto, and I saw a lot of Kerry stickers, buttons, and shirts at the polls. I only saw one Dubya shirt, and that moran looked ashamed to be wearing it.

Now, three hours later, I'm nervous as hell!

The suspense is killing me!

so I didn't get the massive rush of seeing excited voters undaunted by long lines. On the other hand, I voted in a comfortable recliner, voter guide in hand, over the course of several days.

My mood? Very hopeful, but I'm not exhaling until Kerry's got a clear victory. Legal challenges could tangle things up.

Just to get some of that human interaction, we're going to a gathering at a local restaurant at 8 to watch the returns come in with our fellow anti-invasion protestors. I think that's when I'll feel better.

And still feel good - at work so I haven't gotten much election coverage yet.

My stomach had been in knots all morning. I live in Virginia, so I can't imagine how I'd have felt if I lived in a swing state! Now that I've voted I have calmed down and wait for the results. Voting feels GOOD!

I woke up serene. I don't know why. I just felt everything would be alright. I live in Manhattan- not exactly swing territory, but I wanted the satisfaction of pulling the lever for my guy. And I really had no excuse since the polling place is in the lobby of my apartment building. It felt goood...

Coming up in the elevator afterwards this guy said, "Huge crowds down there this morning."

"Worth it though," I said.

And he amazingly articulated exactly what I'd been thinking, "Yeah. Even if we're not in a swing state. It felt awesome."

Finally, after the endless campaigning and debates and punditry, it was our turn! I'm a really intuitive person, and all's I'm saying is, and you can take it or leave it, I really woke up with this incredibly powerful sense of energy going our way- and I mean everywhere. All over the country!

It would have been nice to have been with the community at the polls, though.
