Bob Barr lobbies for Kerry! Really!

Sorry if this has been posted I was flipping through the cable news channels and saw Barr and thought, oh no it's him again. Then he said some amazing things. The question was asked...."How would Kerry do with a Democratic Senate? Well, Barr said that he believes the House and the Senate are going to stay Repub. But then he said that Bush would just do more of the same fiscal debt pile up and military adventures which, Barr said, gives Conservatives "heart burn". He said that Kerry would, if he were a President like CLINTON, work with the House and Senate and get some stuff done right. I was amazed. I know Barr has been working with the ACLU and stuff but surely he reflects the views of many true Conservatives. I hope this is a good sign. What do you think and did anyone else see this?

He spent four effin years trying to impeach Bill Clinton, and now he says that Clinton worked well with Congress.

I tend to agree. Most of the House and Senete are corrupt as all hell.

Both parties have LOTS of boneheaded ideas. Divided government keeps the looniest of their ideas from getting through.

I was impressed.

on the movie talking about the controversy in patriot act. He's not a big fan of the patriot act either.

Yup, Barr is a hateful, moralistic partisan but at least he continues to stand for what he believes in, not just anyone who calls himself a Republican. He really DOES stand for true conservative values like free speech, fiscal responsibility, accountability, etc. I can't say I agree with him on most social policies and his anti-Clinton mania was just embarrassing, but give the man credit where it is due.

Hey, even Nixon had his good points and did some positive things (like environmental policy). So did Reagan (I think). And Daddy Bush. I can't however think of a single positive accomplishment by the chimp currently sqautting in the Oval Office.

Yet another bizarre thing in what is turning out to be a bizarre (but in a very good way) day.

The enemy of your enemy is not always your friend....

He may say the right things now, but if he wants ANY respect from me in the next 4 years, he has to do much better than this...

But, it is a step towards regaining a shred of credibility.
