Will Hannity, Limbaugh, et al. support the prez during wartime?
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 05:14 PM by FlashHarry
President Kerry, that is. All the wingers said that it was tantamount to treason to criticize the Commander in Chief during a war. Now, as far as I can tell, whoever wins, we'll still be at "war" tomorrow.

Will the right-wing pundits shut up and rally behind the new CinC?

On edit: of course, I'm being just a little sarcastic here...

1. They'll support him
just like they supported Clinton when the troops were in the Balkans.

5. Yes
They really are whoring this war in Iraq.

I heard Rush say if Kerry attacks Falujah, he will become a Kerry supporter.

7. Hey, what drug are you on? It must be better than what Rush is on.
We've already had a foretaste of what such trash will do -- it was called the 'Clinton Administration.'

8. Oh SURE they will! Not!
Let me quote James Woolcot here:

<http://www.jameswoolcott.com>

Don't let anyone con you that New Yorkers are so tough, resilient, unphased
by adversity; practically everyone I know is a neurotic basket case over this
election, ready to call their mothers to see if they can have their old womb
back should Bush win. My plan is, If Bush wins, I'm going to allot myself 48
hours to mope and dread--okay, 72--okay, maybe 96--but 96 tops--but
after that it'll be time to get on mental war footing. If Kerry wins, do you
think conservative Republicans are going to take to their beds for
soul-searching? They have no souls to search, most of them. No, they'll be
scheming to ratfuck a Kerry presidency, and if history is a reliable guide
they'll have allies in the elite media who can't wait to start snarking over
Teresa as First Lady and the timidity of Kerry's cabinet picks, whatever.
Reporters and pundits who've paid scant attention to the casualties and
carnage in Iraq will suddenly find their consciences tucked away in a file
drawer, and start wondering when Kerry will show the strength and resolve
we expect from our leaders. They will hound him about Bin Laden in ways
they never did Bush.

9. Of course they will...
I mean, that's what patriotism is, right? And they'll tell anyone who doesn't go along with their blind support of Kerry's version of the war to "watch what they say." In fact, if Cheney goes around bad-mouthing Kerry, they will accuse Cheney of "giving aid and comfort to the enemy."

What a great world it will be. They'll call Kerry a uniter and a true patriot. All that Swift Boat Veteran nonsense will be laughed off as they attend garden parties together in Northern Virgina mansions, drinking Chardonnay.

And Limbaugh will become the spokesperson for the "treatment not incarceration" movement.

12. No rallying for the boys of swill
They will not be allowed to even look at Kerry. They must crawl into their respective rat holes and stay there.
