1. Bush. For being such a lousy, neo-con President in a time
when this country really needs a "uniter"!

38. Along that line I'd have to contribute the CIA!
Don't think that several key press releases in the new recently haven't been helped along by some CIA types with connections.

10. Everyone who voted for him
I did not do much activily other than keep my co workers who have kids and run busier lives informed about Bush and Cheney. I did not reach all of them some just can't leave the NRA but others who may have voted for Bush or not at all I got them to vote.

Michael Moore- F911 no doubt helped

AAR - was tiny light in the darkness of the hate radio world.

anarchists; the 'left'.

Bush's reactionary policies didn't hurt either. In fact..I'd say Bush defeated himself.

20. Massive ground efforts for voter registration, GOTV
So many factors -

AAR, and those that preceded them (like IE America, Hartman, and so on) have made a huge difference.

At my local HQ, the folks that have worked elections before have never seen so many volunteers, so well-organized an organization.

Also, look at what has been accomplished with technology. Online campaigning, fundraising, mailing to membership lists and the blogosphere have made a huge difference.

I really think you can thank Dean's team for pushing the limits of online efforts.

And Howard Dean, especially. I've said for years that dems needed a spinal cord transplant, and he finally gave it to them. You wanna know why our turn out was so bad in 2002? Because of spineless dems every place you looked.

39. All of the above plus Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Senator Byrd
Three outstanding statemen who gave incredible speeches, were the first Dems to step out and speak against Bush* when it was politically incorrect to do so, who wrote wonderfully astute OpEd pieces and took a lot of heat for doing so. And specifically, Al Gore who donated 7 million dollars left over from his 2000 campaign, not to Lieberman (who asked for it) but to Kerry (who did not).

41. Richard Clarke, Joe Wilson, Paul Krugman, Paul O'Neil, George Tenat...
And let me explain Tenet:

Is his resignation speech, he said he was doing it strictly for is "family". A CIA agent confirmed what I suspected, that by family he meant "Company".

Never underestimate the power of a bureaucracy or an agency that is pissed off!
