The Supreme Court and a Bush WIn
Please Correct me if I am wrong (since I'm Australian and not totally sure if this information is true), but should Bush win office, he may soon have the chance to put Four people on the supreme court.

The situation, as I have heard it is that three current supreme court judges have cancer, and another one (73yr old lady) has mentioned that she wants to leave. If this is correct, Bush would be able to appoint four new judges.
If this happens, the first things on the agenda are abortion rights, gay rights and black rights.

Someone please tell me the information I have is incorrect and that this is all wrong.

1. You are basically correct
Abortion will be the first to go. Bush before the election announced plans for "Maternity Homes" for unwed mothers.

3. Actually...
...the first to go will be any and all barriers to corporatist expansion. Consumer protections, fair-use, all barriers to further media consolidation. All gone, THAT will be the first to go. They'll throw the fundies a couple cookies along the way, but those wedge issues are purely secondary, a way to keep their sheep in line to the slaughter.
