So, how does it feel to be the minority?
I've always felt that Democrats were in abundance, yet sometimes not exactly motivated to get out and profess as much like their more vocal counterparts - the republicans.

After last night I have no recourse but to think that we are a minority, and we may be shrinking.

1. The Republicans were "in the wilderness"
i.e. out of power for a long time. They rebuilt their party by thinking long term, building think tanks, and becoming very disciplined. I can only think that we will have to emulate their long-term strategies in order to rebuild our party.

2. Well I'm used to it since I'm Black. But to be CULTURALLY ousted
I imagine that this is what it feels like to be GAY in America.

5. xultar...
Are you psychic, or what? I was just gonna say, "What, you want to know what it's like to be gay?" And then I was going to make some pithy remark about asking African-Americans what it's felt like for the past 300 years...

But you saved me the trouble. ;)

3. tell me about it
That fuckwad won by a 60% or better margin in the red states. If he gets away with this election we no longer have an America we have Amerika. Scalia court, even more reds in the senate, and if you look like you might have a progressive thought in your head, you better have a fat bank account. Liberals will be oppressed.

4. Don't drink the kool-aid
I certainly feel a minority and it is getting worse this a.m. as being one of a very few who do not trust any form of computerized voting, especially when exit polls in paper ballot or optical scan states had Kerry winning, and he did, but in the BBV states exit polls that Kerry winning, somehow just these particular polls were wrong. Mmmmhmmm.

6. God I hope people figure this part out.
It is so fucking obvious. I fear the party will treat this like they did blacks in 2000 and pretend it did not happen. Only after the grass roots media screemed loud enough did the party start to acknowledge it just a little bit as a talking point.

DO the math.
