On a personal note it is really starting to set in but let's not let this get us down. I am told Kerry will be giving a speech that will probably make most of us cry today.(I would love to believe this is false information) We still have to congratulate Kerry for doing what no one could ever have thought two years ago.I know we will be down for a while but we have to regroup. We have a lot of minds to change and it was a pleasure meeting everyone in the democratic underground.
If we lost.
What can I say? I was wrong about us winning. We did our part here in the Northeast and around the country but even if Bush is the president of the South, we are still the USA. They have more people so us white folks in the North are minorities. I also think maybe I was wrong in another area as well (since I am eating a lot of humble pie today -- "Hey Vin who won?"- I now know what it feels like to Be a guy named Haywood) and that is that I kept telling everyone it is about changing hearts. When I stop to think of it I believe it may be more accurate if I said it was about changing minds because I believe all Americans have their heart in the right place.
For the most part if you ask the average Bush supporter why they voted for Bush they will have a good reason and their heart is in the right place. So now what? Two words-Move On. Let's keep trying to make the world a better place.
May this find everyone out there in the world happy and well,
Vinnie Vin
