I Accept this Defeat (for now)

And I accept that America deserves whatever it gets. We are headed into a dark time. I'm sorry to see the light fade.

But I will continue the fight. This fight did not destroy us, and as such, it will make us stronger. This is what surviving conflict is about.

Remember the pain you have now. In time, you will convert it into conviction. We are not a people who wither in defeat. We hae triumphed over every challenge, and we will not stop.

For now, take a rest. Recover your thoughts. Heal your wounds. Then come back in two years to change the legislature and governing power of the states. And at the other side of the darkness, in four more years, we will come back into the light.

We won't forget '04. It will become our battle-cry.
