admiration.
I'm incredibely sad now, sad and even worry about our World. I'm really disapointed by the decision that took the American people, I'm appaled I should even say and I still can't understand.

BUT I'm very proud to have been a bit alongside you in this combat. The way you DUers did fight forces my respect. You are good people and even if anti-americanism may goes rampant in my country because the French do think that Errare humanum est, perseverare diabolicum - and in a sense I can understand that even if I condemn and don't excuse it - I and all the French who know what was your fight will continue to love America and will keep the faith in your great country. I can't tell right now the admiration I have for you, democrats, Kerry supporters, fellow DUers with my poor english because it is too hudge. Please all of you, don't change, ever. I love you all (tears tears tears). :kick:

11. Hope you will still feel that way
when we all start applying for political asylum in France.

Truly, the big joke of my day was that at 7 am I just couldn't face this and went to get my copy of France's Most Beautiful Villages and pretended I didn't live here. Until my husband woke up, came in and said "good. where are we going?"

thanks for your thoughts.

I'm so ashamed of America today and am horrified at what the rest of the world must be thinking. It was heartwarming and reassuring to read your post and know that at least one person out there outside of America realizes there are a lot of us here who worked hard to remove Bush from power and who vehemently disagree with all that he is doing. Thank you for your post.

33. Tears in mine as well.......Thank you as well
Don't know what happened...I've been through three stages of grief.
Denial/disbelief, RAGE, now deep deep sadness.

We were hijacked again..this time more or less legally.

If it could be so, if it were reasonable, I'd ask you and other nationals to come help us. I talked with an Australian in here earlier; he offered his support as well and said if he could help "save us" he and many of his countryfolk were willing...

How sad I am. How sad my family is; my grandson is somber too.

When I get over the sadness, it's back to anger and fighting!!

We appreciate your sentiments. Most of us cried too. Not only for our country but for the world as well. The very first thing I hurt about was the situation in Iraq. I feel so hopeless to help the innocents in Iraq since we do not control the Presidency. These wing nuts are merciless. My heart aches for the world too.

Please forgive us, we really did try our best.

Sorry, it was stupid internet fast typing. "g" means "j'ai" you are right. In fact I said that I was uspet ("fait chier" in rude french) not to be able to shout my joy if the result would be positive because I have a baby asleep at home. Your friend explained the thing well to you. But I'm silently sad now so it's okay for the baby.....(she is 11 months old and she learnt how to applaude a few weeks ago. She applauded John Kerry during the concede speech. A little peace of joy in a very sad moment... She felt we were sad my wife and I she was very kind and sweet.)

50. Thanks...
this election has destroyed me emotionally. I've been on the brink of bursting into tears all day, and now that I'm home, I'm sobbing.

On behalf of Americans who voted against this administration's agenda, I sincerely apologize to the rest of the world. I'm humiliated about what kind of message this sends to the friends who stood by us for so long.

I will say though, although I'm struggling to forgive those who voted for these criminals and murderers, the great majority of Bush voters want his second term to have a significant change of direction from the first. We know better than most how stubborn and closed minded this slime is, but many do not, and truly believe these dirtbags are working for them. When they see that this is the same old song and dance, I think we may sense a shift in the country.

2006 elections will be telling, indeed: to see if America keeps chugging the Kool-Aid, or if they smell a rat.

I can't stop crying about this... and moving to France where sane people (and good fashion) exists is not out of the realm of my possibilities.. fortunately my passport is current.

I cannot believe that people would rather have a man in office who will exterminate the middle class, ship their jobs to India or southeast Asia, deny them medicaid, unemployment and food stamps to feed those 'precious children' they're always howling about in their 'right to life' rhetoric, force their young adult children into the draft for the 'flavor of the month' war he wants to wage, and give tax breaks to the wealthiest people---but would rather make it all about gay marriage, as if that justifies the lying, the cheating and the obfuscation he's been putting over on them.

America used to be great because of her people.. that isn't the case anymore. The Puritans have reared their ugly heads once again. The majority seem to rather prefer aspiring to the day shift as a Walfart greeter, dumber than a post, than to wake up out of their stupor and take back their country.

Aujourd'hui, je ne suis pas un Américain. Je suis mon propre souverain. Ainsi sera, groigne qui groigne.

56. How can we forget that more than 55 millions of American citizens
did vote for a change?!? The difference between you and them is 3.5 millions VOTERS ! And most of them rushed, completely in panic, to the polls after the first afternoon exit polls in favor of Kerry while on the other hand many Kerry voters stayed home because of these favorable exit polls and the long lines. USA is not that big red thing we see in the electoral maps ! The electoral majority process is confusing. I'm not confused, period. Yes the chimp wins but when I hear talk about "America has spoken" I'm all over the place. F*ck him.
