Something encouraging about our attitudes ...
Yeah, there's a lot of doom and gloom, and really, we have every right to it, but at the same time, we are bouncing back. I felt like CRAP last night. I was sick! But, I woke up this morning and realized that I had NOT had the will to fight beaten out of me. I still am the same person and I believe in the same things. And I am still willing to work and fight for those things. As others have said, this is no mandate for *. This is no landslide for him. We are still here. We are better organized than we were before.

And we are already bouncing back and posting ideas about what to do next. So, if they thought re-selecting * was going to be the end of us, they were dead wrong and we're going to show them just how out of touch they are!

3. "I still am the same person and I believe in the same things."
important -- we are not the hypocrites, the liars, the murderers. Our conscience is clean, and we will never, ever support or espouse those values, nor will we give up. Ever.

4. You know, the last time I was this depressed during an election
year, it was 1968. April 4th. And if that wasn't enough, June 5th. I thought that we progressives would NEVER recover. And perhaps we really haven't. But, we have learned to pick ourselves up and try again. Things look pretty bleak now, but we will survive. And endure. And eventually triumph BECAUSE WE ARE RIGHT!
