what will Moveon.org be doing in 2006?

pass a law that makes groups like Moveon illegal. :-(

I did some volunteer work for Moveon here in PA, and their enthusiasm and persistence really made a difference here. I wonder if Kerry would have won here in Pa without their efforts. We were able to encourage a good many disinterested voters to go to the polls.

Move-on does a great job , but we need more. We need to get a machine to offset the daily propaganda machine that has been sucessful in brainwashing too many people into a blind faith nationalism where they totally ignore any facts or reason. Move-ON has the membership and the abilty to raise enough money to buy stations and put them on the air, then we need to tune the message. Yes we have Air America on a few stations but it is not enough, we need to reach all the people, we need to have a station in every area of the country getting the voice of reason out there. Many Americans desire to be told what to think, we need to get them to think more independently and the only way is to get to them every day.

Ads are good but we can't get enough done with just ads, we need a constant, day after day message that can easily be remembered. Imagine if every city listened to Mike malloy every single day - they would soon start thinking differently. The righ wing does this they train their listeners to listen for keywords and autmatically repeat the talking points of the right wing any time they hear those words. It's much like training in martial arts, it becomes a reflex, requiring no thought. We need to break that mindset and get these people to think and reason
