ENOUGH!! THIS is why Bush "won"
6 million votes across the country was NOT counted.

There was a Republican pollster that released an analysis of all battleground states last week.

It basically said that if the Repubs didn't find some way of tamping down on the black and latino vote, the question wouldn't be "will Bush or Kerry win?" it will be "by what margin will Bush lose? 5% or 10%"

Or to be more exact, by 2 or 3 million votes or 3 or 5 million votes?
And he didn't say this is what would happen in just Florida or Ohio....he said Bush would lose in ALL the battleground states.

Is everybody doing the math yet?

And remember, this was a REPUB pollster, not a Dem, or even a non-partison, but a Repub.

I've said this again and again on this site, and noone listens, but I will say it again.

In a national election, the REAL swing voters are minorities.

We will never win another White House until Dems start believing and going on the offensive over this fact.

Why do you think Repubs were doing such despicable things targeting blacks before the election? They knew that their re-election hopes depended on this.
Period.

So stop beating yourselves up and get mad.
Like WE are, in the black and Latino community(we're already planning retribution for this loss, especially because of the fact that the "Katherine Harris" of Ohio, was a black guy).

Get mad like we are in California.

We are pissed out here.

We did our part.

We protected our minorities and delivered the state for Kerry, even though the last poll here said there was only a one point difference between the two candidates and papers hinted that maybe the state could go to Bush.

As usual, we gave him the finger. Not even the Terminator could help him.

Stop all the internal searching and finding someone to blame.
This was simple disenfrachisement---just like 2000.

Gotta hand it to them bastards though.
I never thought they would actually try to disqualify 6 million votes just to get a Bush win.

Shows you how desperate they are.

We need to be ready to push for impeachment once all these reports come out about the administration, with the focus on moderate Repubs.
I am almost sure they are ripe for the picking and I say WE should get them before the right-wingers do.

We need to convince the remaining Dems that if they want to keep their jobs, they'd better start taking a HARD LINE on every Bush proposal...from day ONE.

But more than anything, we must NOT give in or surrender. We're fighting Hitler now, don't fool yourself. I wasn't around for the original, but I am determined to give this wanna-be a run for his money. What about you?

LOL!
That's funny but I hope you would listen to the pounding chest of a state that fought to remain in the "blue" column.

Moderates and Centrist, that's how.

I'm telling you, I was consoling REPUBS today!
They were saying to me "what happened? I thought you guys were going to pull it out! Every factor pointed to it! I needed you to pull it out for the rest of us. What's gonna happen to my 18 yr. old son now?"
I said just because Bush is in office, doesn't mean that we won't fight the draft when it comes. We will.

But he was inconsolable.

And he wasn't the only one.

In fact I am supposed to meet a bunch of them after work just to talk because some of them are talking aimlessly about separating from the extremists of the party.

I like this idea.
Why?
Cause it will spell Bush's DOOM.
They are ripe for the picking folks.
Time to start reaching out.

18. Why?
"I actually believe this but we need some hard evidence to take the streets. "

Hard evidence means that we will have to get to those 6 million votes. But until then, the pollster's recommendation and the numbers are good enough.

"kerry/edwards had fucking better be working behind the scenes now on some of these issues, or i make it my personal mission to register as many black people for the green party as i can."

LOL!!

"fuck office park dads and soccer moms: STAND UP FOR YOUR LOYAL VOTERS!!!"

They've fought this year much better than in 2000; they are learning slowly but surely. Problem is, they are also getting picked off in every single election. Despite everything, I was heartbroken about Tom Daschle.

I was in Hollywood last night with the "beautiful people" and they were bummed and annoyed by what looked like a sure Bush win. A guy said "he stepped on the backs of blacks and latinos again! Damn"
A guy who was a lawyer asked him, "do you REALLY think he did that?"
The first guy said "how else is he still in this race? He can't win with only white votes cause half of them goes to the Dems, and blacks and latinos can't stand him. He either takes them out, or he loses"
The lawyer chews on this for a long while, then talks on his cell for about an hour.
Get this, when he turns around to us again he asks ME if I thought blacks and Latinos would respond to a ....class. action. suit. against the Repub party plus various Bush officials.
I said we'd never win, he said that's not the point.
The point is to have a reason to get their hands on reams of Bush campaign documents(in an effort to find out how far up this goes, of course) and to expose Republican racism at practice in elections. Like the "felon Rolls, bad machines,.. etc.
This guy is *seriously* looking into it.
That would be incredible.

Until that time though, I am ready to fight.

Something happened to me last night.

I am still trying to figure out what but, it's like a switch turned on. Everything became clear. We took our democracy for granted and now have to fight to prove we are worth having it at all.

Ok.

I am not depressed, just determined.

I think this fight will have to go to the streets.
All other outlets are closed now or will be soon.
I am ready to fight for my democracy with the quiet determination that my ancestors fought for their freedom and respect.
You'll have to pry my democracy out of my cold dead hands.
Period.
