6 million votes across the country was NOT counted.
There was a Republican pollster that released an analysis of all battleground states last week.
It basically said that if the Repubs didn't find some way of tamping down on the black and latino vote, the question wouldn't be "will Bush or Kerry win?" it will be "by what margin will Bush lose? 5% or 10%"
Or to be more exact, by 2 or 3 million votes or 3 or 5 million votes? And he didn't say this is what would happen in just Florida or Ohio....he said Bush would lose in ALL the battleground states.
Is everybody doing the math yet?
And remember, this was a REPUB pollster, not a Dem, or even a non-partison, but a Repub.
I've said this again and again on this site, and noone listens, but I will say it again.
In a national election, the REAL swing voters are minorities.
We will never win another White House until Dems start believing and going on the offensive over this fact.
Why do you think Repubs were doing such despicable things targeting blacks before the election? They knew that their re-election hopes depended on this. Period.
So stop beating yourselves up and get mad. Like WE are, in the black and Latino community(we're already planning retribution for this loss, especially because of the fact that the "Katherine Harris" of Ohio, was a black guy).
Get mad like we are in California.
We are pissed out here.
We did our part.
We protected our minorities and delivered the state for Kerry, even though the last poll here said there was only a one point difference between the two candidates and papers hinted that maybe the state could go to Bush.
As usual, we gave him the finger. Not even the Terminator could help him.
Stop all the internal searching and finding someone to blame. This was simple disenfrachisement---just like 2000.
Gotta hand it to them bastards though. I never thought they would actually try to disqualify 6 million votes just to get a Bush win.
Shows you how desperate they are.
We need to be ready to push for impeachment once all these reports come out about the administration, with the focus on moderate Repubs. I am almost sure they are ripe for the picking and I say WE should get them before the right-wingers do.
We need to convince the remaining Dems that if they want to keep their jobs, they'd better start taking a HARD LINE on every Bush proposal...from day ONE.
But more than anything, we must NOT give in or surrender. We're fighting Hitler now, don't fool yourself. I wasn't around for the original, but I am determined to give this wanna-be a run for his money. What about you? Des
