Stand Up, Keep Fighting...
This is an email that my friend sent me. It is truly inspiring...

Hey Everybody,

I don't know about you all, but this is one of the more difficult days
I have ever experienced. It feels like I woke up on Christmas morning
and found my new puppy choking to death on what was left of the
shredded remains of my family after a terrible wood chipper accident.
Really shitty feeling.

I went to bed last night after it became pretty clear that the
provisional ballots in Ohio weren't going to be enough to cover all
the idiots who put their belief in a fairy tale called Evangelical
Christianity instead of that tried and true paradigm, common sense.

In my dreams, Tucker Carlson gave Florida back to Kerry as his bow tie
spun and the I-75 corridor turned from red to blue. Then Robert
Novak's treasonous turkey neck quivered as Wolf Blitzer announced that
Missouri had gone for the non-fascist-assholes ticket. Then I woke up
into the nightmare that is today. Bush just had a lie for every type
of idiot.

Anyway, it is what it is. Let's take today to be angry and
incredulous, but let's wake up tomorrow and get right back in their
fucking faces. It was pretty awesome to see new voters mobilized by
the likes of P-Diddy and an army of other youth icons, but next time
let's make sure they know who to vote for. If you just hand an
imbecile a hammer and tell him to build a house, you'll end up with a
Yurt that misleads its nation into unnecessary wars. We learned that
one the hard way it seems. These people are stupid; we must hold
their hands next time.

And next time, let's make sure the "center" of American politics isn't
what was known as "right-wing assholotry" just a few short years ago.
Let's get started now. I'm going to go smoke some medical marijuana,
abort an unwanted pregnancy and harvest the stem cells, and get gay
married after work today. I encourage y'all to do the same. If we
make that shit mainstream, they won't be able to take it away from us
or use it against us next time.

For the reals though, let's stop whining and start doing. It's going
to take more than the vote to get rid of this neo-con disease.
Americans have had the lazy luxury of the vote to cleanse the zealots
out of the system for the last 200 years, but those days are over.
I'm definitely NOT talking about violence; we're not at that point
yet. But sometimes democracy fails, and that's when people have to
get off their asses and start changing things. I'm not sure what that
means exactly, but I'm pretty sure it will involve me spending less
time playing Tekken Tag and more time volunteering for shit. Oh, and
the term "grass roots" probably applies as well. Cool man, whatever
it takes. Sacrifice is a bitch but the evil fuckers are worse.

A co-worker quipped today, "What's red and has 58 million assholes?
America." But we can't forget that 55 million people voted for the
right guys, including a large majority of the people in the places
that really matter in terms of not being terrible places to live.
That's 55 million people who are fucking pissed today just like us.
We still have a great country, now let's go save it from the idiots.
