I refuse to follow voters who want Bush to lead them into the End Times.
They are crazy.

I refuse to follow voters who are gullible enough to STILL believe the lies told by Bush and Cheney throughout this war.

They're plain stupid.

1. This nation did NOT vote for Bush.
The election was stolen in the machines. Turn off CNN. It's lying to you.

4. Ohio had
a majority of the state precincts using the voting machines. They showed that map on TV with all the areas using the machines, and it showed that most of Ohio was using the machines.

3. Bush got a mandate from ignorant right-wing fundamentalists
not from the average American voter.

I guess Americans have to hit rock bottom before they recognize what a huge scam the whole Republican "moral values" issue is.

Moral Values means taking care of the poor, not taking their money to give it to the rich.
Moral Values means to take care of the sick, not making sure that health care corporations increase their profits at the expense of the poor and sick.
Moral Values means to love and accept people, even if they are different.
Moral Values means not to destroy the environment.
Moral Values means not to kill thousands of innocent Iraqi fathers, mothers, and children in a war that was completely unnecessary and based on lies.

Bush is not a man of God. He is the opposite. And he is not OUR President.

that four more years (and four more wars) will bring a BIG, RUDE WAKE-UP CALL to these dumb Americans.

6. Many fundies believe we ARE in the end times.
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 02:58 PM by tjdee
Bush is just "helping" them put off the inevitable. He is insulating them from all the bad things/people (read: gay people).

I heard a few fundies talking about this last night, and it squares with what I hear from others.

:puke:

I'm a Christian, but I'm not an idiot like these people. They're reactionary and fearful, and I'm so embarrassed by them.

18. Yeah. I heard somewhere
that Bush said he doesn't make the environment a priority because he doesn't know "how many generations will pass until the Lord returns." Did anyone else hear that? I'm not saying he shouldn't believe that the Lord will return, but that doesn't mean he should let the planet go down the toilet. Is anyone else thinking of "The Core" and "The Day After Tomorrow"?

I still don't get how screwing the poor and helping the rich fits into this "apocalypse-is-coming" attitude. I don't get it.

Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 06:25 PM by blm
Bush doesn't believe in any religious stuff. He just puts on an act so he can fleece the sheep into a service economy for his crony capitalists and get them to offer up their sons and daughters to his wars.

31. Terminal generation is from the book series: "Left Behind"
By Tim LaHaye.

First Possibility: America will still be a powerful nation in the last days, but the Lord simply chose not to mention her specifically.

One of the hardest things for American prophecy students to accept is that the United States is not clearly mentioned in Bible prophecy, yet... continues.

Bush has admitted reading it as part of his "born again" lifestyle.

8. Millenial Disappointment will set in within the next couple of years
The fundamentalist movement is going to disolve. They're still hanging on to the idea that the year 2000 marked the return of Jesus and were starting to lose hope. They were THRILLED when 9/11 happened because it meant that their apocalypse was still possible. When they realize that Bush is doing nothing to help whisk them into the sky, they'll start to turn on him.

Heck, even the pope thinks he's the anti-christ.

9. Hate!
When over half of our voters ignore important political issues and vote on the basis of hate-- toward gays, toward arabs and muslims, toward the poor, toward minorities and toward women who want the power over their own bodies-- THAT is when we are allowed to be disappointed in our electorate.

10. I agree, however the message is a strong one
in the Evangelical Churches and other Fundie denominations.

This Must Read Article needs to be circulated to everyone.

Bookmark it and copy it to your harddrive.

I used to attend church regularly and several years ago, I remember hearing about a parishioner who was so convinced of the End Times, he had charged his credit cards up into the many thousands of dollars.

He had asked the pastor how soon the End might come so he wouldn't have to worry about paying off the balance.

Such idiocy is hard to comprehend.

22. i think we already got some of the Oldtimers this election
and they are a drop in the bucket. the Endtimers are running the show and the dumbassification of america was PROVEN successful by this election. it is complete enough. even beautiful california elected arnold, a horrible sign.

people love bush just like they love mickey mouse. that is now a fact. i didn't believe it before.

we are seriously fucked. bunker down and stay honest with yourself in what you see happening. depressions happen. world wars happen. don't be caught flat footed if the King continues being the King. he is off to a fast start. syria soon. arafat gone soon. and one more attack in the usa, no matter the size, and the draft will not be sufficiently resisted. i'm on red alert now, but calm.

i've got a second job already and saving money. i wish i had land.

i don't know that reason and facts matter anymore.

26. I could not agree more, that article scared the hell out of me.
for the first time in my life I fear for this country. What happens when the rapture doesn't happen on their schedule? These idiots are actually trying to fast forward the end by destroying the environment, destroying our budget. If 40% of these congress critters believe this crap we better do something and quick.

On the bright side if * screws things up as bad as I suspect in the next two years maybe by 2006 we can vote these nut's out. I only hope that our foreign policy hasn't forced the drafting of my two draft age boy's as a result.

Is that Armageddon is just going to happen. I doubt God gives a crap about our involvement in the Middle East. When he's ready for the world to end, it will. It's so selfish to even think that our country is the one that will have an effect on when it occurs.
