BBV: Anecdote about a Republican co-worker.

So this guy, a programmer, and I have had little friendly tiffs from time to time. He comes up to me today and I mentally run through my little armada of funny comebacks because I think he's going to give me some shit. Instead, the first words out of his mouth were:

"Do you think the election was stolen?"

I *totally* could not believe my ears.

Then I said, "Well, I don't know, BUT, (evidence evidence evidence). I hate to think that it WAS, because I hate to think that that's POSSIBLE, but, (evidence evidence evidence)." We had a really good discussion, and I forwarded him a buncha links.

Folks, if the BBV issue is getting out to mainstream guys, non-political junkies like HIM, it's really getting out there.

I'm really kind of heartened by this!

Most who voted * that I know consider me a sore loser, cry baby, etc, if the idea of a stolen election comes up. A few even think the ends justifies the means, and talk as if stealing an election would be acceptable as long as their man wins. But to have your co-worker approach you and bring the matter up, that's saying something!

by the Repukes at my job. They're walking around smiling like the clueless assholes that they are.

and have gotten NONE of it. I'm completely floored. And I took the day off yesterday and spent a substantial portion of it making up snappy comebacks.

The thing is, they all know me around here by now, and they know that not only do I have sharp nasty teeth, but that I take my politics very seriously. So I guess they know better than to mess with me.

Sigh. I had all psyched myself up for a verbal flamefest. :evilgrin:
