What if the UN moves its headquarters out of NYC
...out of disgust with US policies? Would that ever happen? What would the effects be?

1. Freepers Have Been Begging For That For Years
And I get that ridiculous mass-email about "sticking it to the rest of the world" at least every other week which includes a proposal telling them to leave.

2. I wouldn't blame them if they did.
Freepers can screech all they want. It is a huge benefit to the United States to have the UN headquarters here. It's pure xenophobia rather than sound foreign policy that screams for them to leave. But after this election, I wouldn't be surprised if the UN up and left.

As usual, the Freepers want to go BACKWARDS. What they don't seem to understand is that if there's not a table that all the nations of the world can sit down at, what will rise in its place are secret and double-secret national alliances. You know, the sorts of alliances that led to the first World War. Which, of course, led to the second.

But don't worry, a third World War would be way less of a burden than having to listen to what other people say sometimes. >.<

3. Well it's often been proposed
that they move to Montreal. Works for me!
