Want to boycott Bush contributors? Here's a list for starters
I don't believe that any consumer would be able to avoid every single brand or product on a list this extensive. However, if we can negatively reinforce some or most on an organized mass scale, and inform the targets of our reasons, it would be enough to send a concrete message far more difficult to ignore than demonstrations, flyers, signs, or letters.

I extracted this from the lists on whitehouseforsale.org and boycott-bush.net, and I apologize if something to this effect was already posted before.

4. But a lot of cos. contribute to BOTH parties. Have these been
screened to ensure that they only contributed to the Repubs? Or contributed a large amount more to the Repubs than Dems?

And how can Disney contribute over $1M, when the cap is $2,000? Is there a different cap for corporations?

2. My idea.....ONE AT A TIME
"I'll never buy these products" will never stick. Pick one product/company from above, spread the name wide and loud and make it STICK. Then the next. Then the next.

11. Yeah, good luck with that.
I'll focus my time and energy on educating voters and and working to build a better democratic infrastructure and for better democratic candidates rather than spending my time poring over a list that tells me whether that $2 pack of cheese I bought is going into republican coffers.

I'm all for stuff like not shopping at Wal-Mart, but if you think boycotting all of these companies and products is going to have an impact then you're more of a patient man/woman than I am.

So when I shop at Costco which is a good democratic/liberal donor, what exactly am I supposed to by.

12. ROTFLOL! Kool-Aid is up there at the top!
Stop! I'm dyin' here!

You should add Frito-Lay to Pepsico.

Now, fly in the ointments...Michael Moore and Al Franken's books were published by Warner, and Moore's "Roger and Me" was published by Warner DVD. "Hunting of the President" was published by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment...owned by Murdoch.

AT&T, UPS, AA, Anheuser Busch and Ford are UNION companies. You hurt them, you hurt their unions too.

This is a double edged sword, just be selective.

15. OMG, they really Do drink the KOOL-AID!
I am selectively boycotting the larger companies. Would like us to focus on a few we can take down - a huge list is overwhelming.

16. Plus, when they lose money because of something like this..
..does anyone honestly think that they'll go "Holy shit, they're right! We need to stop contributing to Bush!"

No, the money they lose will be made up in outsourcing jobs, cutting salaries, being harder on their unions, cutting community outreach programs (yes, many of these companies do some decent charity work as well) and things of that nature.

13. My medications! HA!
Most of my prescriptions are from companies on this list. If I or my (nonexistent) insurance company were paying for these, I would look into changing meds.

However, since * has made me so poor I can't afford medicine OR insurance, (and my husband can't work because he's now disabled from a car accident) I am on the companies' patient assistance programs, so I get my meds for free at their expense. The fact that THEY are paying to medicate me makes it OK with me.

And if any of you have meds from these companies and think you might qualify, you can find out about patient assistance and even download the applications at:
