If you're not listening to Randi Rhodes on AAR, tune in NOW.
You're probably a member of one of two camps:

1). The election was stolen from us. We can fight this.

2). Kerry lost. It's over. Let's look forward to 2006.

Randi is talking to camp #1. If that's YOU, then FUCKING TUNE HER IN...NOW.

23. Inaccuracies in Diebold voting can be challenged
Vote stolen by Bush because of failures in the "system"...

READ THIS:

"Machine Error Gives Bush Extra Ohio Votes"

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20041105/ap_on_el_pr/voting_problems_7

COLUMBUS, Ohio - An error with an electronic voting system gave President Bush (news - web sites) 3,893 extra votes in suburban Columbus, elections officials said. Franklin County's unofficial results had Bush receiving 4,258 votes to Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites)'s 260 votes in a precinct in Gahanna. Records show only 638 voters cast ballots in that precinct. Bush's total should have been recorded as 365.

Bush won the state by more than 136,000 votes, according to unofficial results, and Kerry conceded the election on Wednesday after saying that 155,000 provisional ballots yet to be counted in Ohio would not change the result.

Deducting the erroneous Bush votes from his total could not change the election's outcome, and there were no signs of other errors in Ohio's electronic machines, said Carlo LoParo, spokesman for Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell.

Franklin is the only Ohio county to use Danaher Controls Inc.'s ELECTronic 1242, an older-style touchscreen voting system. Danaher did not immediately return a message for comment.

11. I wasn't a big Randi fan...
...until November 3rd. Her kickass attitude is what we need right now, and I've been hooked. She's like a late afternoon/early evening version of Malloy, and you probably wouldn't hear the programs on AAR earlier in the day talking about this stuff.

26. Yes I do.
Rhetoric and emotion aside, there are quite a few logical oddities here. I'm still way too pissed to go into it-- in fact, I'm preparing for a trip into the belly of the beast (Ohio), and it's got me upset enough. But yes, some things point to the strong possibility he was nothing more than a ringer.

28. No, sadly, I have definitely acknowledged camp #3...
...it's in the other posts I've made today.

The way that I would KNOW this meant EVERYTHING to Kerry and that he gave it ALL he had...in his words, "steered his boat into the attack"...is if John Kerry were in the room with me right now, looked me in the eyes, and TOLD me that.

For those of you who are playing our game at home, John Kerry is NOT with me right now.

:-(

Prisoner_number_six,

I tend to agree with you. Here's the text of my letters to Kerry on Black Wednesday, in response to his 'thank you' letter in which he cited 'the desperate need, for unity for finding the common ground':

"I don't want thank-yous. Division in this country is a fact. Get used to it. 'Finding common ground'--yeah right. Don't you ralize we can't negotiate with this pack of gangsters. 'Democracy' in America is over. We have no voice. Here's another copy of my earlier letter to you:

John Kerry:
I heard you conceded. I am so sorry about what happened. I regret every contribution I made, every rally I attended, every house party, phone call, EVERYTHING I did for you, now that you have Al Gored out on us. You said you were tough. You said you'd fight. You said you'd stand up for us. And you wimped out. Was this just a set-up for your Bones Buddy from the very start? I despise the way you lied to us and gave us false hope. Go home, count your inherited billions, get out of public life, and observe the effect on America.
Yours in disgust,"

I just don't think he ever intended to win...

33. Even if he did -- there are still far too many anomalies
and it really doesn't matter. The BBV issue HAS to be addressed -- and pressed. Else every other Dem nominee will end up "giving it away" whether they want to or not, and ALL our State legislatures will be basically all Repug. And our governors and mayors and commissioners...

I don't care what Kerry did or didn't do. This isn't about him.

He CONCEDED. No matter what anyone thinks may be going on now "behind the scenes", KERRY CONCEDED. No matter how much fraud is found, KERRY CONCEDED. Even if he WANTED to reenter the game, HE CONCEDED.

This country is now in the hands of fascists. There will be no turning back.

21. Has she yelled that Ralph Nader is selfish
and that's the reason why this happened, or gone on and on about Patti Smith's mental state today? At times I really believe she is the left's equivalent to Bill O'Reilly. But she does know her stuff and usually states it pretty well.

29. Camp #1
It's so difficult to watch the democratic party strip itself apart like this. What is the value of constant self-analyzing threads like "Where did we go wrong?" or "Should we recruit our own version of Karl Rove?" or "Where are our values?"

While these are wonderful questions, in none of the answers lies the key to why we lost this election. We "lost" because the right-wingers have made democracy into a game in which the rules can be rigged to reward deception.

Notice all of the inconsistencies one experiences when one approaches this election's outcome as a "fair-and-square" Bush win.

This was a clear fraud which took years to plan and execute, and anyone who has been paying attention knows this.

35. Well, it does seem that the question of electoral fraud must be addressed
before we get to anything else. After all, if the vote was rigged or tampered with then it really doesn't make sense to ask what Kerry (or we) did wrong. If the voting and counting was honest and we simply lost, which I do not currently believe, then we should start asking those other questions. I would not be so quick to abandon the possibility/probability that this election was stolen outright. They do have a track record, you know.

If they did it in 2004, they will do it again in 2006. They will chip away at our rights until we don't have any.

It has to STOP NOW!!

Draw the line. Get to the bottom of it.
