I know that if Kerry had been the undisputed winner, but some of the electors switched and re-elected Bush, I'd be ready to riot. My guess is we'd see something similar or worse if it happened the other way around.
they refused because of voter fraud? Fraud that had been proven but the administration/media just refused to recognize and tossed out?
They might be the only ones who could save us.
But it wouldn't change the problem you're talking about. I'm wondering though, which would be worse; the fight over that or what we are in for the next four years and beyond.
They're elected at the state conventions mostly for their loyalty to the party.
In 2000, my elector was Don Evans, current Commerce Secretary and guy who introduced a librarian to a fun-loving chimp. Good luck switching these guys.
PS - the West Virginia guy announced he is in fact voting for Bush.
