Great Idea: All Kerry voters watch only 1 news show: OLBERMANN
Seriously: there are many of us who, despite our protestations, dabble occasionally in the video crack houses of Tweetie or other cable news shows.

What a great protest: All Kerry voters watch Kieth Olbermann only on a regular basis but swear off all other cable newscasts. Kieth O's ratings would go through the roof and it would make a great point. Plus that would egg Olbermann on even more.

Corporate America controls the media and we get manufactured news.
Corporate America now controls the voting machines and we get manufactured elections.

4. Bravo!
I agree with you -- Olbermann and C-Span only. (I cannot give up my beloved C-Span ... )

8. C-SPAN of course, don't consider them "cable newscasts" which is,
in my opinion, a term synonymous with pond scum. Love C-SPAN!!!

2. Get Randi Rhodes to plug him on her show
and bam! He's got 4 million viewers. Well, not really since some of us don't have cable.

3. Please tell me how anyone knows what we watch or will
watch. Nobody has ever called me to ask what I'm watching. How about you? How many of you have been called?

25. *Sigh* Just as I suspected. I remember when dad was in Vietnam
watching Walter Cronkite on the news every night. We don't have a Cronkite to point out the folly of Iraq nowadays though. Guess the *internets* is really the only source for real news, huh?

That's it, Olbermann then HBO or something else but definitely not the cable news channels and never Tweety.

17. he's all I've watched for a couple of weeks now
since Tuesday I've not even been able to watch him.

Next week. Olberman and Jon Stewart and nothing else.

I wonder if we could donate. Tell Keith he should set up a fund for investigative journalism. Hire someone to dig up dirt on the GOP crooks. Like in the old days.

If we all pledged $5 bucks a month, we could put Scarife to shame. I trust Keith to oversee it.

20. Already doing that
After Tuesday night, I'm through with network news except for Olbermann. The only other news I'll watch is the local newscast. I'm getting my news from Air America Radio and DU.

21. I actually was so sickened by CNN lead up too and coverage
of the election; so sickened with the anchors, I cancelled cable. There is no effing way I want to see Beezlebush's smug stained grimace and his weasel-ly evil cohorts on the news pied piping Murakans to their fate. I felt the same when Reagan was elected and didn't even have a TV for 10 years. Bye bye corporate American pie, I'm back to readin the rags that matter.

22. If you think Olberman operates independently of his producers....
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 09:06 PM by higher class
please think it through again - policy, talking points, spin all comes down from the top. He gets the dings in, but there is something tricky in General Electric allowing him to be critical of the warrior saviour - it may be temporary - just as Phil Donahue was temporary.

Those employees are a tv version of the stepford wives.

23. don't know that much about him,
but Lawrence O'Donnell was all over John O'Neill and others the few times I saw him. If he could keep it up without getting fired or thrown in jail he could be host material.

24. It's the only reason I turned on the tv
It's off again. I can't even watch PBS until Moyers comes on. I hear he rips Norquist a new one tonight. Otherwise, it's all "why did the dems lose". Oh, give me a break.
