1. I am sick to death of being told we need to move to the center
When the right is told they have to mobilize their base.
What a load of crap!

2. We don't need to move to the center, in fact we can move more to the left
I am just asking for names of people and groups who can fight the people I've listed above.

3. we do not need to move to the center
what the conservatives did in 1964 was recognize they were in the minorty, even in their own party, and started the organization to pull their party, and with it the whole country, further right.

That's what I think we need to do.

5. Agreed
However, the conservatives in 1964 were nothing like the right-wing radical fundamentalists of 2004. If you ran "Reaganomics" past Barry Goldwater in 1964 he'd have shot you with an AR-15.

Fight a war AND lower taxes on the rich? He'd think you were crazy for even proposing it.

And starting a war? Are you kidding?

We do have to recognise that we are in a minority, and we do have to emulate the old conservative tactics BUT we don't want to end up as far off message as Bill Buckley and the rest have.
