Christians, please listen.

This country certainly protects the rights of all Americans to worship the faith of their choice. However, the only precedent that we have for the Christian faith asserting and aligning itself with government resulted in a horror that lasted centuries in Europe. It was an era of darkness filled with all the torture, death, and tyrannical abuse imaginable. Please think about this. Pray about it. Talk to your fellow parishioners. Just pay attention to what is happening now.

I'm an Episcopalian. The fundies hate us almost as much as they hate atheists, maybe even more so, because they think of us as "distorting the Word."

4. I have no problem with people voting their conscience, but

when I hear of people voting because their church urged them to vote in unison for one party or for one man, it tells me that something very scary is going on.
