Please remember folks-this was NOT a blow out. We came very close
to winning, and have about 49% of the people in this country on our side. It will only take a little more effort at what we've been doing over the last year, and keep it up until 2006 elections, and the 2008 elections, and we can take our country back. Don't think of it like we lost 70% to 30% or something. We can turn this around. In the interim, we MUST support out Senate in the battle for Supreme Court Justice appointments. We CANNOT let Bush appoint radical right wingers to the bench. We need to start strategizing NOW to come up with orginizations and efforts to make sure the next Supreme Court Justices are sane and not some wacky Christo-Fascists. To keep yourself motivated, just think how GOOD it will feel to lay the SMACKDOWN on these fundies once we get the chance.

2. Id rather lose big than just make it.
1 or 100 you still lost but I'd rather it be a blowout.

this was by no means a crushing defeat (dukkakis, mondale, mcgovern) we came so close a national shift of 2 points would have put us over the top. HOWEVER, thats not how the republicans will play it. allready we have heard talk of a mandate and " the president is the first in over 16 years to get over 50% of the vote" we have to fight hard so the sheeple remember it was close, and not a landslide for bush

6. You can fight as hard as you want.
It doesn't matter if the votes don't count and all e-voting equipment is owned and operated by RW republicans with an agenda. Get the corporations out of government, we need old fashioned paper ballots that can be counted manually.
