I felt the need to write to the NY Times.
George W. Bush is a lying, thieving, amoral piece of scum who dishonors faith, our soldiers, and the constitution of the United States. Pretending that he won when he lost by a wide margin is a piece of self-hypnosis that the media may enjoy, but I do not.

A Republican congress forced deliberately criminal machines on the states. The machines did just what they were supposed to. Now all federal government is Republican.

Well, they have what they stole. They could not win in any honest way. So from here on out, it's all theirs: the war, the poverty, the crashing economy, the flu. They need do nothing but enrich themselves (although the value of the dollar does seem to be disappearing) because they need not cater to voters since they can alter the vote at will.

The exit polls have ALWAYS been correct within 2 points until Florida 2000 and now. Only this time the exit polls were incorrect only in states WITHOUT A PAPER TRAIL. Florida 2000 was stolen by Jeb Bush for his big brother. It was a training exercise for 2004.

Bush and the media are sanguine that only 55 million Americans despise George W. Bush. The true number is far larger.

Do you know what people say? Here in New York, we say it feels like 9/11. The shock, the denial, the never-healing wound...the only difference is we aren't dead yet.

1. And I...
I, too felt the need to let the New York Times know my feelings.
I urge others on this board to email, phone or write the newspaper to let them know that whether or not is is finally proven that Kerry won the election, it is our RIGHT to know the actual vote count and to investigate what appears to be massive voter fraud. Their position is one of hypocrisy and it is intolerable.

Get their information from the ACTIVISM/EVENTS board in order to send an email..

2. And I
feel the need to cancel my subscription to the NY Times, just one week after renewing after a four year boycott. I liked their endorsement of Kerry, so re-upped, only to find out they killed a story on bushit's bulge. They are still whores.

3. And I...
have written this to send:

I am a Democrat. I am a liberal. I am a Christian.

I am a Democrat, as was John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt..
I am a liberal, as was Martin Luther King, Jr, Susan B. Anthony, and Thomas Jefferson.
I am a Christian, as most of our Presidents have been and some have claimed to be.

Read it again: Liberal Christian Democrat.

I will not allow government and religion to mix. I will not stand idly by while people are punished for committing a “sin” that victimizes no one. I am not going to sit down and be happy and listen to what the Religious Right tells me to think. I will not tolerate a religion based on persecution and hatred and judgement by man. I will not tolerate a government which caters to religion. We have man-made laws to protect victims. If a man cannot visit another man in the hospital, who is the victim?

I don’t say I am pro-life and support a war that kills over a thousand brave American troops and over 100,000 Iraqi civilians. I don’t waste my time wondering if two men holding hands is a sin when over two million children went to bed starving to death last night. I am not going to worry about your children meeting and learning about other faiths because I am not insecure about their faith in mine.

I am confident enough in my personal faith to learn about others. I am confident enough in who I am to learn about other people’s culture and beliefs. I am not scared they will infect me. I am hopeful they can show me new ways to celebrate the Almighty.

I am done having the other side tell me what I believe, tell me where I will spend my afterlife, and contradicting the very core of our religion by supporting the death of innocents.

This is my country. Christianity is my religion. Democracy is my government. I am reclaiming them as mine. You are done calling yourself Christian while supporting murder. You are done calling it Democracy when you don’t listen to every voice. You are done promoting faith-based initiatives when you yourself have no faith.

You are done rewriting the Constitution with your tattered bible. The bible you have removed the words “love,” “forgiveness,” and “judge not” from. They will remain separate.

Read it one more time. Learn it well.
Liberal. Democrat. Christian.
I am the future.

4. What a great letter, Ableman...
I have copied it to forward to some of my friends. I love the tone and the confidence it exudes. I am encouraging all of them to write in to the NYT.

My letter was much shorter. I will try to add it on this thread in another post.

5. Re: Editorial: NYT Advises Kerry Supporters to Accept Bush Administration
Sirs:
I find your editorial to be filled with hypocrisy, abhorrent and totally intolerable. You are suggesting that we accept this administration as a fait acompli and that we should just bow our heads and wait for the ax to fall.

With the news that voter fraud is being uncovered on a daily basis, the fact is no longer that Kerry was defeated by manipulation, but rather that our entire democratic process is dead.

You support this criminal activity with your editorial and in doing so you perform a major disservice to your readers that is treasonous in my opinion. There is no alternative other than to believe that this editorial is purely self-serving on your part.

My real name

7. So...In the Meantime...Where are our Leaders?

Haven't heard one single solitary word from any of the Democratic headquarters that had no problem asking for money each and every day of the week for six months. A Pox on them!

Great column!!!

I just really relied on him for the last year or so. He totally deserves some time off.

Absent Without (my) Leave, I guess.
