I believe we are going in the wrong direction now. People are now saying we were wrong to be Pro-Gay.

I say we were right before (not correct now), but not right enough. We need to become even more Pro-Gay.

The Right had an insidious tactic:
Republicans: "Same Gender Marriage threatens society"

That just sickens me. How can the right to marry for a minority affect the society as a whole? It's the same thing as being opposed to Interracial Marriage, only a bigot would oppose it.

The form of Islam I belong to tells me that God will love you and accept you no matter what your religion or 'lifestyle' is. Obviously the Christian Right does not have love for Gay people. And, I also hope the Democratic Party will never slip down the road of hatred that the Right has for Gay people.

Gay people need a voice, who will be that voice?

3. Not necessarily pro-gay but...

..pro-human rights. No one should be discriminated against because of their race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or religion. A lot of conservatives need demons to hate. They need a class of human beings they can look down on so they can feel superior. Democrats have got to strongly oppose this.

4. Dems are just fine, thank you
We don't need to be more pro gay, we need to fight the lies and deceits better.

Besides, dems have been painted as supporting criminals, baby killers, communists, hippies, drug dealers, Blacks and gays. Some are accurate and some are lies, we just need to do a better job of getting a few million more Americans to see past the inaccurate associations.

5. Exactly. We need to stand up for all human rights and gay
people are no exception. I am disgusted by the insinuation that gay issues caused us the election.

What the hell do we stand for if not the full humanity and citizenship of ALL individuals in this society, not just the politically convenient ones.
