ACTION PLAN: let's gather together ideas here

Let's get organized, get a plan together. Regardless of whether we believe the election was stolen or not, the available data on errors is disturbing and may point to our loss being due to an unlevel playing field. Here are some ideas to get started. In any replies, let's refer to the item #, or add new ideas with numbers, to make it easier to follow ideas through the thread.

1. Individually contact our congressional reps, demand full accounting, asking for their vocal support of the GAO request by Conyers et al. http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/gaoinvestvote2004ltr11504.pdf

2. Draft form letter here for anyone who wants to use it for #1. (easier).

3. Start petition to send to congress? Target specific member(s)of congress who either have oversight responsibilities for the election or are otherwise likely to be responsive and carry some weight.

4. Individually contact local/national media, demand full reporting and investigation, and that rather than talking about 'mandate' they flag the fact of the errors, Delay's 'contribution' to that mess and the fact that Bush had more votes against him than any sitting president.

5. Draft form letter here that folks can use to send to media.

6. Donate $5 to www.blackboxvoting.org (preferred by BBV to send check to po box 25552, Seattle, WA 98165, to avoid credit card fees)

8. Engage moveonpac, America Votes or ACT to o whatever they can (ideas on how to proceed?)

9. Insist on an immediate and public explanation by Delay re: his rationale for fighting the use of evoting paper receipts. Hold his feet to the fire.

10. I saw this on DU recently: write George Soros, asking him to offer a reward to any evoting employee who comes forward with evidence of Diebold or other evoting co's misconduct. If we can prove it, we can prevent them from getting governmental contracts in the future!

11. Avoid reading/watching/listening to mainstream media, because it dulls the edge of the truth. We want to stay 'reality based,' right!? Persuade your local radio stations to carry Air America Radio.
