CNN: Compares Battle for Fallujah with the Battle for Hue, Vietnam
If they were profound at CNN, which they're not, they'd realize that the battle for Hue was immortalized in the second part of Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket". and we know from that experience EXACTLY what's gonna happen. How could we do this again? Remember the denoument of the film? Remember who the sniper was?

I never thought I'd live to see this...again.

2. I doubt any of those anchors really know what they're saying
Maybe one of them caught a glimpse of the History Channel between blow-dryings, eh?

4. Agree,
Hue was well defended by (many) first rate soldiers (the courage of your enemies does you honor).

However, parts of Fallujah may end up looking like parts of Hue.

I do not expect the defense, however, to come up to that standard. And this is a good thing, because those are our men and women over there.

And Hue was part of the Tet offensive. Our Iraqi adventure is some time away from the counterpart experience.

3. yes, i didn`t think i would either
but look who`s waging this war-cowards. at least back in the day the invaders were led into battle by their king...those guys lived and died by the sword. to many cowards now hide behind words and stay safe thousands of miles away...

Why? Because we love you.

So sad. A war for every generation.

And the song they will be singing about this war?
