vote.

Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

If Kerry had campaigned in these states, do you think he would have done better.

I might be wrong, but I find it somewhat amazing that Kerry did not even campaign in Georgia, and South Carolina, and he still got 41%

If he had treated these states like Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, could he have received the other 9% and won these and other states in the south?

I'm just wondering.

1. Don't forget
George Bush didn't campaign there either. But you're right, 40% is not bad. 10% is less than most people realize. It's only one in ten people! Only one in ten people more voted for Bush in Louisiana than in New Hampshire.

2. Honor, Duty & Integrity
If he'd campaigned on values the south relates to, in addition to hatin' them man dates. In a normal world, where the media reports the truth about an idiot shrub and a national treasure; well hell yes. We do need to remember that 40% of the red staters are more desperate than us blue staters are.

13. Kerry DIDN'T lose Ohio. It was stolen from him through FRAUD!
He might have done better in those Southern States if the FRAUD had not occurred. FRAUD is certainly evident in North Carolina if you compare the exit polls with the actual count.

5. I might be in denial ...
But I don't think Kerry lost in NC ... NC was called way too early . Ok I will hush now . My grandmother worked at the Board of Elections in 2000 and Tuesday night as well - again NC was called for Bush and in my county ( Guilford County NC along with Wake and several counties across NC ) the votes were not officially in . Again I said :wtf: to this whole election . Sigh ...

If they are, he did just fine. The machines ate his votes.

10. No
But he likely won by a larger margin, God knows, than the recorded vote. remember to research and figure that in. If Bush padded in New Hampshire and cheated and intimidated in Georgia he stole votes everywhere.

With a fair election Kerry would have picked up some. With a real and fair media(Both qualifications missing now) he would have swept.

The "contest" is not democratic. It is as Hunter Thompson describes it and worse, a comical obscenity. The mandate is based on multi- level fraud in many sectors. It was not well opposed. These little parsings are only valuable toward the goal of FORCING out fraud by any civil means at our disposal.

This could of would have about campaigning more or differently are irrelevant for now.

14. somehow we need to convince the dems to run a
country wide battle, not just a 17 state one. make the repugs come down to the south and hold their own territory. if they want to run in the blue states we should include the red (at least some anyway). hell, 10% isn't much at all and with the right candidate we could really see some change i believe. imagine what it would feel like if your state was ignored cycle after cycle and then a candidate comes with an inspiring vision. first one there gets the votes!
