My God. I don't believe I just heard that.
On Fox, Geraldo just put to his panel of two the question, "Why don't we just carpet bomb" Fallujah.

And one of the guys said because we lack the political will.

Very sad thing to see.

9. He's probably considered "nukin' 'em all".
And by that I mean a "Final Arab Sol'n". He's probably asked Wolfie and Rummy if oil field technicians have radiation suits available.

33. I've been predicting bush will order mini Nukes -- because
he is just that pathological.

He wants to give a warning to get all of Iraq and the whole middle east to bow down to him and to kiss his ah . . ring.

His behavior in the following days -- how much evil he will unleash will be a message to us and to the world. I really don't know if the world can survive 4 years of bush -- or should I say whoever is pulling bushie's strings?

I hope to doggod that I am wrong --

It was the same "reason" we didn't win in Vietnam.

24. I was born in the 60's
My first memory is my older brother taking me out one night and telling me there was a man walking on the Moon.

I do not remember Vietnam. It was very vague to me. Other than maybe the song "Billy, Don't be a Hero" I seriously missed the whole conflict.

Oh...Billy Don't Be A Hero...loved that song. It's about the Civil War.
Came out in 1974...I was in 10th grade. It was a favorite song.

Memories....

3. Isn't "carpet bombing" a war crime?
Beyond that, it would kill way too many civilians and their homes. Sickening.

16. We're using depleted uranium on civilians - I don't think the US is real
concerned about silly little things like international law at this point...we can do what we want, we're 'Murka.
Falwell says we should "blow 'em all away in the name of the Lord," and smiles as he says it, so I guess it's just being a Good Christian to destroy the whole country, wouldn't you say? And we certainly don't want to be unChristian, now, do we???

27. Touche.
It's just that we don't hear much discussion of depleted uranium, etc. from the large news services, especially FNC. The blatant suggestion of killing large numbers of civilians, even if it is Fox, is really uncalled for.

And I trully appreciate the irony in your words, granny. The last thing we want to do is posture ourselves a Christian nation. That's exactly what the international terrorist groups want! Talk about a great ammendment to their recruitment literature: "Kill the Christian Aggressors in their Crusade against the lands of Allah!" Although they've probably been doing that for years....

34. The only depleted uranium in the arsenal is used in anti-tank rounds
It's not used against lightly armored vehicles because it just goes in one side and out the other. It's used by tanks, against tanks almost exclusively.

Sabot rounds made of depleted uranium don't work very well against civilians or any other soft target. It makes a very unwieldly and expensive shot against anything other than heavy armor.

Been there, done that.

Did my active duty time in the Air Force, then became a reserve tank commander, first on M-60 A3's, then the Abrams.

5. The REAL question is...
When will the rest of the world decide they've had enough and carpet bomb OUR ASSES?

We're inviting treatment in kind, or worse. Don't forget there are all kinds of loose nukes floating around.

Aim for the red states, please. Wait, except for Travis County, Texas. I still have family there. :P

Just the attack itself deserves a recall vote or at least an overturning of the election.

If they can recall a governor for nothing, surely we can recall the presidency for numerous crimes, if we just had enough hones people with the power.

35. Seems like old times.
Sometimes force just does not work. The building are down but odd how the abstract thought does not get bombed out.The world has seen the US can be beat with guns and men in hiding so that is what they will do. I do not think we can get them to give up by taking out a few cities. This is not a thing like Japan and the second world war. These people are all over the world and their are many more people in this religions than in the Christian religions I think. Someone has to start fighting this in another way.
