If you accept that values were the most important issue,
you MUST accept that Kerry won -- it's the same exit poll

1. link?
Do you have a link to the poll itself showing both sets of questions? If you are correct, more evidence the media is a lying sack of shit...(i guess thats obvious already)

2. Well, if somebody had asked me if I voted my morals
I would have said a resounding YES. Why the hell do they assume that only fundamentalists have "values" My values include peace and justice and letting folks live their lives unmolested unless it DIRECTLY has an impact on me.

3. Because Dems are terrible at discussing things in moral terms
We have to get back to doing this. We even need to wade into the arena of couching our beliefs in religious/spiritual terms, considering that a majority of the population identifies themselves as religious/spiritual.

Look at the Civil Rights movement. Almost EVERYTHING that movement stood for was couched in religious terms.

4. I voted for morality & values.

Attacking a country that didn't threaten us is immoral. Ignoring a group that DOES threaten us in order to do so is doubly immoral. Mortgaging our childerens' & grandchilderens' & GREAT grandchildrens' future do do it is TRIPLY immoral.

I voted for family values. My sister, her partner and their daughter are a FAMILY. Politicians who want to outlaw their relationship simply because they are all females are ANTI-FAMILY!
