CNN: Homeland Security more concerned than ever over terra at Inauguration
I don't understand it...I just heard it as a news bite on CNN Headline News. Maybe it will make more sense to you:

The Department of Homeland Security was worried about terrorist attacks during the election.

You remember those terrorist attacks...the ones that NEVER HAPPENED.

Just a moment ago, the peroxide blonde news puppet on CNN Headline News was talking about "possible terrorist attacks" during Bush's Inauguration in January and said "NOW THAT THE ELECTION HAS PASSED THEY ARE MORE CONCERNED THAN EVER."

2. It's the excuse they're using to treat protestors like terrorists.
This gives them license to preemptively arrest you and jail you for the duration just like they did for the RNC.

I heard something like this in passing on CNN this morning -- that the Pentagon and Homeland Security were mobilizing a full "combat battalion" for Washington DC during the inauguration!

12. Which begs the question,
why are we still in Iraq. We have Saddam in custody. We killed Uday and Qusay. There are no WMD's. Everything was supposed to be rosy once we got Saddam, so why are we still there?

14. It might just be that if the US were to leave, the oil would be
in the hands of what ever ruthless mf emerged as the next Saddam as soon as we left. That's why we are setting up permanent bases for endless war.

so brave to be operating in severe threats, exposing himself to terrorists. And the people will be praying for his safety and he will come out at one point and be amazed that millions of people are praying for him.

10. They are afraid of us, the populace, or the mob if you wish.
They know the majority of Americans didn't vote for them and especially in the environs around Washington, D. C., some might try to stir up dissent. We are the terrorists they fear.

13. I do not want to do anything subvesive If I went it would be to goof on
the bastid. I am coming around to feeling that living well and having a good time will be the best revenge. These folks just don't want to win they want to you to be as miserable as they are, witness Simpson on Maher Friday night. I refuse to do that. I'm gonna party like it's 1999. I am going to have the time of my life just to spite these mofo's. Boycott, sure. Protest, no problem. Spend every waking minute in a funk..no way. Not that I thought anyone was suggesting that. I just needed to make a statement.

18. Actually, Simpson didn't come out of a vacuum.
People in all those red states are just like him. I used to be a snowbird. You can't try to bring them around with logic either. They don't like outsiders telling them their business.
