Just as important as Recognizing voter fraud - the DNC needs to ACCEPT
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 07:42 PM by merh
and appreciate that Kerry won the election. The Democratic platform was the popular platform. We were not "off" message. We should not forsake our stances on gay rights, social reform, pro-choice, the environment or any other "liberal" left wing ideal that we believe in.

Kerry/Edwards won. The voting fraud needs to be made public and the party needs to recognize this so that they stop trying to change and re-evaluate and reform and take on the DLC concepts or any right wing stance.

Get it! Now let's keep fighting to get the truth out so that the party gets it!

1. Exactly. ABB won. We are the majority. The reality based community
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 07:34 PM by robbedvoter
at least, The rest of them, DNC& al are left to "study" the new reality created by Bushco

''That's not the way the world really works anymore,'' he continued.
''We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And
while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll
act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and
that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors . . . and you,
all of you, will be left to just study what we do.''
Bush aide to Ron Suskind

4. We need to change both.
A party that rolls over and accepts a stolen election definitely has some issues that need to be addressed.

5. What would you change about the party?
What compromise would you make?

Separation of church & state?
Pro-Choice?
Equal Rights for ALL?

We won the election - we don't need to hang our head in shame and think we have to change things, more people voted for Kerry than they did for the clown-n-chief.

They need to change - the RNC - the GOP - the fundies...
They need to become more tolerant

8. DID I SAY I THOUGHT OUR PARTY SHOULD COMPROMISE?
Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 09:28 PM by crunchyfrog
Where did you read that in my post?!?! I said that there is a problem with a party that just rolls over and lets an election get stolen.

If you need me to spell it out for you, I meant that the party needs to grow a pair and begin standing up for itself and for it's principles. Our party needs to fight back instead of people sitting around whining that the other guys don't play fair.

They're. Not. Going. To. Change. They are what they are.

We have to stand up to them. If you think that implies compromising our principles then you're not reading what I'm saying.

edit: Do you think we should have a party that just rolls over and plays dead for the Rethuglicans?

10. Don't yell at me -
Apparently I misread your post! I agree, a party that rolls over does need to reform - the party needs to fight!

18. No sweat! I know I am very touchy - I can't stand that they have
stolen the election AGAIN!

I emailed kerry at his congressional office and let him know that I was disappointed in what appears to be a lack of concern by the DNC and by him.

I say it appears a lack of concern, I hope that appearances in this case are deceiving!

7. I am damn sick and tired of the DNC games.
It is either time to tell us it is over or admit we have been had. I am convinced we were had. With all of the hot heads (on both sides) threatening civil war I think they both DNC and RNC are scared shitless.

And Smirk sure is not helping this at all.

Where are you John Kerry?

(rant off) Sorry if I have offended anyone.

9. The problem is that with paperless bbv's there is no way to
prove fraud. Our main thrust between now and 2006 must be to get a paper trail for all electronic machines, including optical.

12. You say there is no way to prove fraud, but I haven't yet
given up hope. The Florida rep that claims that he has proof that the 2002 primary election and this election were "hacked" is promising. He called in the FBI. I just hope he has retained his proof and that he doesn't fly in any small planes.

13. What's Going On ....
opps, sorry, I bought a Marvin Gaye CD last night ....

Yes, there is "proof" of voter fraud. In some cases, it is undeniable proof: if a county has more votes recorded than registered voters, that is "proof." And from just a quick glance at the threads here today, we see that happened.

But "proof" is not limited to just that which absolutely and in-and-of-itself proves a point; it includes the evidence that when put together constitues evidence that some thing or event occured. And in several counties in both Florida and Ohio, there is more and more proof being brought to the public's attention.

I do agree that one of the absolutely vital things we do is make sure that this cannot happen again in 2006. But let's not close the door on 2004. Let's follow this line of "proof" as far as we possible can. We should not raise our expectations to where we have unrealistic goals, but neither should we lower our expectations to a point where we will accept the unacceptable.

"Mother, mother ...
There's too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother ...
There's far too many of you dying ...
You know we've got to find a way...
To bring some lovin' here today ...

What's going on
What's going on...."

I hear your music.

I agree 2006 is vital, but please 2004 is not history yet, it is the now, it is the present. We need to deal with today.

How are you H2O? :hi:

15. Hello, merh!
I am good! And how are you?

Actually, I'm feeling confident about the future. I know we are in for some tough times in the United States, and in the world. But I am confident -- not overconfident -- but I feel hopeful from reading DU, among other things. People are beginning to have a far more realistic view about what it is that we are up against. And with that clearer view, I believe there is a more realistic approach to what direction we need to go in.

And part of that is recognizing that the ONLY thing we can do to prepare for 2006 is to take careof today. When we deal with the NOW, than those nows that we great in the future will fall in place.

And with that view that things are good, and that we can win this struggle, it is a pleasure for me to read your posts in the past week ... because you are right on target .... and you are helping the rest of us keep our focus where it should be!

19. Glad you are well, I am doing okay considering the bastards
stole the election and I can't stand the hate in my heart that they have caused. Thanks for asking and thank you for the kind words about my posts.

I refuse to believe that a majority of my nation are as hate filled as the pundits and the weed's administration would lead us to believe.

20. Well, now
when I was a boy I learned a song that had a line which went something like this: "For every thing there is a season, and a time for every matter ..... a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace." I think that you know I do not believe in many "conspiracies," but this is real: Kerry won the election, by more than Gore did in 2000. It was stolen.

The reaction you describe is the natural response to what has happened. This is the time to speak, and your's is an articulate voice. Keep up the good work.

11. I Know - I'm sick of the Kerry Postmortems!
"What did we do wrong?" they wonder...

The only thing the DNC did wrong was not stop e-voting and fraud! Kerry friggin' won! Our message was voted in by the majority, but many of those votes were either disappeared or given to Bush!!!

16. Just imagine what the news would be full of should they not
have been successful in their fraud and theft of the votes that belonged to Kerry.

The analysis would not be what did Kerry & dems do wrong, it would be where did * go wrong. One term lame duck prez!

We have to keep that in mind.

22. The media drowned out our message.
We were up against the best propaganda machine in history. I'm surprised we got as close as we did.

Our second order of business -- after the voter confidence issue -- is to get more of our own media. E-mailing CNN is just not cutting it, and apparently never will.
