I was telling my Republican mother this earlier and showing her the numbers for Fl counties and she thought I was nuts. When Keith came on I called her, she watched it and it completly pissed now.
She is going to see who she can call to demand that there be some kind of recount. Her words " Why the fuck even vote if this is what comes of it?" She also said she hopes other Repugs come out and demand recounts, her words "we aren't all assholes"

There a few moderate Republicans who are about the same as some
Conservative Democrats in the South.

I have been logging onto DU since the debates, and have been trying to keep up with the tremendous amount of data. The link that I'm sending you is from an anonymous poster not registered at DU.

The graphs and the data are quite compelling, and I wish that you would peruse them. We've heard from Bev Harris that the media is being restricted from reporting on this most important issue; i.e. that they are not reporting on the fact that our democracy is being denied us. This is the case, if this turns out to be the widespread fraud that I fear it to be. I hope that you will keep your scheduled topic of potential election mishaps. All the best.

Examination of the Florida Elections


New: Florida is reporting more votes in the presidential election than it is reporting citizens that turned out to vote. Adding all the presidential race votes reported by the Florida Department of State here yields a total of 7,588,422 votes. The Florida Department of State reports here that voter turnout totalled only 7,350,900. That's a difference of 237,522. 3.1% of Florida's presidential votes were in excess of the number of voters in the election. 380,952 votes separate the President and John Kerry in Florida.
If we disregard the votes cast on the Model 100s and the Optech 3P Eagles, the difference between Bush and Kerry drops to 124,514. The votes cast on the Model 100s and the Optech 3P Eagles in conjunction with votes that cannot be tied to voters may have elected George W. Bush.
The 13 counties that report more votes than voters delivered 39.4% of the votes cast in Florida. These are the 13 counties:

Better than I had hoped.

In the mid-1980s, Keith did the sports on a local station here in L.A. He moved to a network affiliate, and then graduated on to ESPN.

He was great at it, but sports was always a bit too confining for Keith's with and intellect.

Now, he's the **only** completely sane voice on cable news. Anywhere! :yourock:

The only determinants of the outcome of election are the reports of the state returns boards and the vote of the Electoral College.

I hope he continues to expose the dirty tricks and voter suppression. The last vote in Ohio was made at 4am. How many hours did that voter wait to cast that ballot? Who decided to place only 2 or 3 voting machines in one of the most populated districts in the state? How many people had to wait over 4 hours to vote and how many couldn't wait? He should how easy it is to change the totals in GEMS. etc etc There is so so much more so I hope Keith continues with this story to expose all of it.

Oh maybe someone knows why Bev's site isn't working. I've tried over the past hour and it won't come up. I'm using blackboxvoting.org. I always get a feeling of fear when a site like this one won't come up so I hope all is OK.

I had a debate with a friend last Wednesday who didn't believe people waited for hours to vote. How many people who were tired, ill, had family responsibilities, or were just discouraged by the long lines couldn't vote, and would have made an even greater difference for Kerry?

We will never know, but in my heart, I am sure the election turned on that factor, leaving the line discouraged.

And this didn't happen in white, suburban precincts, either. Can you imagine making suburbanites wait nine hours to vote? If they'd done that, Blackwell would be impeached! I call foul on the way the poor and minorities were treated in Ohio, and would have been hollering just as loud about it if people had waited in line until 4:00 a.m. and Kerry had clearly won Ohio -- it stinks.

So, I went off to dinner thinking that it wasn't going to happen. First thing I did when I got home was to check in here, knowing that there would be a Countdown thread. THANK YOU KEITH!!!
And TG for TIVO. I just watched Countdown and I'm amazed and relieved that I didn't arrive home to disappointment.

I had some serious doubts that these fraud stories would ever get played, but KO's giving me some hope. I still don't think Kerry will be president, of course, but if we keep pushing this we can cast a hell of a shadow over *'s next term.
